# What Bookodile does not do

> The honest boundary list — what falls outside the product, what has no workaround, and the questions that get answered wrongly most often.

Most documentation describes what a product does. This page is the other half,
because knowing where something stops is worth as much as knowing what it
covers — and because a wrong assumption here costs somebody a real appointment.

## Money

- **Bookodile does not process payments.** No card processing, no payment links,
  no money held or forwarded. Payment is between you and your customer, however
  you already handle it.
- **Online deposits are not available.** You cannot require a customer to pay
  when they book.
- **There is nothing to refund**, because nothing was collected here.
- **The payment-tracking add-on is a record, not a till.** It notes what you
  were paid so your own numbers add up. It is not a receipt system, and it does
  not reconcile against a bank feed or a card terminal.
- **Tax, invoicing and record-keeping rules differ by country.** Bookodile
  records what happened; what you are required to issue, keep or declare is for
  you to check where you trade.

## Plans and pricing

- **There are no plans and no tiers.** Every feature and every add-on is
  included for every account. "Is this on my plan?" has one answer for
  everybody: yes.
- **There are no commissions.** Bookodile does not take a percentage of a
  booking.
- **Switching an add-on on never costs more.**

## Bookings

- **There is no customer-facing reschedule.** Moving an appointment means
  cancelling and booking again, which sends a cancellation and a new
  confirmation rather than a "rescheduled" email.
- **Moving a booking in your calendar does not email the customer.**
- **Marking a no-show charges nothing.**
- **Bookings are not designed to cross midnight**, except for full-day services.
- **The cancellation window is one setting for the whole business**, not per
  service.

## Your team

- **Permissions attach to roles, not to people.**
- **There is no per-service permission.** Access is not scoped to part of your
  catalogue.
- **A person belongs to one category at a time.**

## Your booking page

- **The embedded widget is always light**, whatever the visitor's device
  prefers. The hosted page follows the device; the embed cannot, because it
  would follow the visitor's operating system rather than your website's design.
- **No custom CSS.** Branding is your logo, your colour and a banner.
- **One booking page per branch.**

## Languages

- **The interface is available in English, Slovak, Czech and Vietnamese.**
- **Your booking page's language and your dashboard's language are separate.**
  What your customers read is a property of the business; what you read is your
  own preference.
- **This documentation is English only.**

## Reviews and feedback

- **Anonymous feedback cannot be answered.** No customer is recorded, so there
  is nothing to reply to. That is the whole point of it.
- **There is no per-review hiding and no approve-before-publishing.** Publishing
  is all or nothing; a review can be removed with a written reason, and is
  permanently deleted 30 days later.
- **Bookodile does not post to Google for you.**

## Emails

- **Templates cannot be edited.** You can set a footer.
- **Reminder timing is one of three options**, not arbitrary.
- **Text messages are not currently switched on.** SMS confirmations and
  reminders are built but not active — plan on email.

## Things people assume exist

Worth stating plainly, because these come up:

- No point-of-sale or counter sales — a walk-in is a booking.
- No stock or inventory tracking.
- No staff payroll.
- No contracts or e-signatures.
- No native mobile app. The booking page and dashboard work in a phone browser,
  and can be added to a home screen.

## If something here is wrong

This page carries the date it was last checked against the product. If you are
reading it a long time after that date, treat the boundaries as approximate and
ask.
