# Bookodile vs Wix Bookings

> Wix Bookings is the scheduling app inside the Wix website builder: your booking pages are pages of your site, and the price is the site plan that unlocks them. Bookodile is a booking system on its own — free at one location, every feature included, billed per booking spot.

## [What Wix Bookings charges](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-wix-bookings#pricing)

Wix Bookings has no price of its own — you pay for the Wix site plan that unlocks it, one plan per site. A free site can show services but cannot take a booking; the first plan that can is Core, which is also the first plan that accepts payments. Every team member who signs in to the dashboard uses one of the plan's site-collaborator seats — 2 on Light, 5 on Core, 10 on Business, 100 on Business Elite — so the plan sets how many people can manage their own calendar. Text messages are metered per plan (0, 50, 100 and 250 a month) with larger bundles sold separately at prices the help centre does not print. The displayed prices are for a year paid in full at purchase, other periods exist, and a plan renews automatically for the same period at the full, non-promotional price. There is no free trial of a paid plan; a new plan carries a 14-day money-back guarantee, renewals do not. The plans page renders prices for the visitor's region and we could not read a euro or pound figure from it — and the page's own copy is inconsistent, saying its dollar prices are for reference only and exclude tax while some price cards carry a tax-included label — so read the plans page from your own country before you decide.

| Plan | Price | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Free site | $0 | No card required. Services can be shown but not booked |
| Light | By region, on the plans page | No scheduling and no payments; 2 collaborator seats; no text messages |
| Core | By region, on the plans page | The first plan that takes bookings and payments; 5 collaborator seats; 50 text messages a month |
| Business | By region, on the plans page | Bookings and payments; 10 collaborator seats; 100 text messages a month |
| Business Elite | By region, on the plans page | Bookings and payments; 100 collaborator seats; 250 text messages a month; developer platform |

## What Bookodile charges

A base rate per location plus a rate per booking spot that actually took a booking that month, in country bands. Every feature and add-on is included at every price, there is no commission, and it is free at one location with up to two active spots and 40 bookings a month. The figures live on one page so they cannot drift: https://bookodile.com/pricing — and the model is explained at https://bookodile.com/docs/what-bookodile-costs.

## [Why businesses switch from Wix Bookings](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-wix-bookings#why-switch)

- **[Your team is capped by the website plan, not by the work](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-wix-bookings#reason-your-team-is-capped-by-the-website-plan-not-by-the-work)** — In Wix every team member who signs in to manage their own calendar takes a site-collaborator seat — five on Core, ten on Business, a hundred on Business Elite — so the plan decides how many people can run their own schedule. Bookodile has no seats. Any number of people can have an account and a role, the bill counts booking spots that took a booking that month, and someone who takes no bookings costs nothing.
- **[Taking a booking does not need a paid plan](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-wix-bookings#reason-taking-a-booking-does-not-need-a-paid-plan)** — A free Wix site can show services but not take a booking; the first plan that can is Core, priced per site and shown as a year paid in full, with no trial of it. Bookodile is free at one location with up to two active booking spots and 40 bookings a month, every add-on included, and a paid account starts with a 14-day trial rather than a charge.
- **[A room or a machine can be booked in its own right](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-wix-bookings#reason-a-room-or-a-machine-can-be-booked-in-its-own-right)** — Wix resources are invisible to customers, are available around the clock with hours that cannot be edited, do not affect classes, and an appointment cannot be booked without a team member — the help centre's workaround is a placeholder staff profile. In Bookodile rooms and equipment have a capacity and their own hours, a service can need a resource alone, a person alone or both, and the capacity is enforced when the booking is made.
- **[The waiting list runs itself, for appointments too, with no app](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-wix-bookings#reason-the-waiting-list-runs-itself-for-appointments-too-with-no-app)** — Wix's automatic waiting list is for classes, and customers can only join it through a Wix mobile app; for appointments the list is kept by hand with no notification, and Wix suggests a third-party app. Bookodile offers a cancelled slot automatically to whoever has waited longest for that service, with a three-hour countdown, and customers need no account and no app.
- **[A price and a duration per person](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-wix-bookings#reason-a-price-and-a-duration-per-person)** — Wix documents a different price per team member through 'Varied prices', and warns that a customer cannot reschedule a booking paid that way; it does not describe a different duration per person. Bookodile prices and times a service per team member or per category, such as Junior and Senior, and the customer sees which is which.
- **[Two people, one visit, each blocked for their own part](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-wix-bookings#reason-two-people-one-visit-each-blocked-for-their-own-part)** — Wix lets a customer pick a team member per service in a multi-service appointment, but it cannot add processing time, cannot limit the booking to one person, works on the web only, cannot repeat, and the customer can only cancel the whole thing. A Bookodile combo gives each stage its own team member, duration and room, back to back, and each person is blocked only for their own stage.

### [Pricing](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-wix-bookings#group-pricing)

| | Bookodile | Wix Bookings |
|---|---|---|
| [A free plan that stays free](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-wix-bookings#free-tier) | **Yes** — Free at one location with up to two active booking spots and 40 bookings a month, every add-on included. Not a trial — a plan a small business stays on. | **No** — A free Wix site can list services but not take a booking — the help centre says the site must be upgraded to accept bookings. The first plan that does is Core. [source](https://support.wix.com/en/article/wix-bookings-about-wix-bookings) |
| [No commission on bookings](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-wix-bookings#no-commission) | **Yes** — No commission, no new-client fee, no per-booking charge. The bill is the subscription and nothing else. | **Yes** — No per-booking fee on the plans page or in the fee schedule, and no Wix marketplace to take a cut. Card processing through Wix Payments is charged per transaction at its published rate. [source](https://support.wix.com/en/article/wix-payments-service-fees) |
| [Every feature included](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-wix-bookings#everything-included) | **Yes** — Every add-on is free and included — reminders, reviews, vouchers, the waiting list, multi-location, forecasting. Nothing is sold separately. | **Partly** — The site plan carries most of it. Sold separately: text messages beyond the plan's monthly quota, the Branded App subscription plus the app-store fees, and the App Market apps Wix points to for an automatic appointment waiting list and custom text campaigns. The free domain covers the first year only. [source](https://support.wix.com/en/article/wix-sms-your-sms-quota) |
| [The same features on every plan](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-wix-bookings#no-plan-gating) | **Yes** — There are no plans and no tiers. Every account, including a free one, has every feature. | **No** — Light has no scheduling and cannot accept payments. Core, Business and Business Elite differ in collaborator seats (5, 10, 100), monthly text messages (50, 100, 250), storage and marketing suite, and the developer platform is Business Elite only. How many resources a site can have depends on the plan, with no numbers published. [source](https://www.wix.com/plans) |
| [No minimum term or cancellation fee](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-wix-bookings#no-contract) | **Yes** — Monthly, no minimum term, no cancellation fee. Paying yearly is optional and costs ten months. | **Partly** — The displayed price is a yearly subscription paid in full at purchase; other periods exist. A plan renews automatically for the same period at the full price, without the first-period discount. No cancellation fee is listed; a new plan carries a 14-day money-back guarantee, a renewal does not. [source](https://www.wix.com/about/terms-of-use) |
| [Processes your customers' card payments](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-wix-bookings#payment-processing) | **No** — Bookodile does not take your customers' money. The payment-tracking add-on records what you were paid; payment stays between you and the customer. | **Yes** — Wix Payments, its own processor, in 15 countries — 2.9% + $0.30 in the US, 1.9% + €0.30 in the EU countries it covers, 2.1% + £0.20 in the UK, chargebacks 15 in local currency. Elsewhere, including Slovakia, Czechia and Vietnam, a business connects Stripe, PayPal or another listed provider. [source](https://support.wix.com/en/article/wix-payments-service-fees) |

### [Taking bookings](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-wix-bookings#group-booking)

| | Bookodile | Wix Bookings |
|---|---|---|
| [A hosted booking page](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-wix-bookings#hosted-booking-page) | **Yes** — bookodile.com/book/your-business, with your logo, colour, services and hours. One page per location. | **Yes** — Bookings adds six pages to the Wix site — service list, service page, calendar, booking form, checkout and thank-you — with shareable links to the service list, the calendar and each service. While the site is unpublished, Wix serves a working mini-site in its place. [source](https://support.wix.com/en/article/about-wix-bookings-pages) |
| [Booking on your own website](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-wix-bookings#embed-widget) | **Yes** — One snippet embeds the whole flow in any site — WordPress, Wix, Squarespace or hand-built — inline or behind a Book-now button. A QR code is generated for print. | **Not published** — The booking elements — service list, Book button, weekly timetable, daily agenda and next-availability widget — are placed on pages of the Wix site itself. No help-centre article describes embedding Wix Bookings in a website that is not built on Wix. |
| [Customers book without an account or an app](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-wix-bookings#guest-booking) | **Yes** — A name plus an email or a phone number. No account, no app, no password. A web portal shows customers every booking they hold, if they want it. | **Yes** — Customers book without a site account: the help centre distinguishes members from non-members, who manage a booking through the personal link in their email. An email address is always required; booking without one is an open feature request. [source](https://support.wix.com/en/article/wix-bookings-allowing-clients-to-cancel-or-reschedule-sessions) |
| [Several services in one booking](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-wix-bookings#multi-service-booking) | **Partly** — Combo services chain stages into one booking, and the extras you configure are offered during booking, in more than one round. Customers do not pick arbitrary pairs from the catalogue — you decide which combinations exist. | **Partly** — Up to five services in one multi-service appointment via '+ Add Service', on the same date and at the same location. Needs a paid plan, works on the web but not in any Wix mobile app, uses only the default booking form, cannot repeat, and the customer can only cancel the whole booking. [source](https://support.wix.com/en/article/wix-bookings-scheduling-and-managing-multi-service-appointments) |
| [Back-to-back services with different team members](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-wix-bookings#multi-staff-sequential) | **Yes** — Each stage of a combo can have its own team member, its own duration and its own room, booked back to back. Each person is blocked only for their own stage, never for the whole visit. Staff move the whole visit in one step, at times that fit every person in it. | **Partly** — The customer can pick a team member per service, the sessions appear one after another in the calendar, and times are offered only when every service is available. Processing time is not possible, a booking cannot be limited to one person for every service, and simultaneous sessions can only be created by the business. The article does not state how each person's time is blocked. [source](https://support.wix.com/en/article/wix-bookings-scheduling-and-managing-multi-service-appointments) |
| [Rooms, chairs and equipment as bookable resources](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-wix-bookings#resources) | **Yes** — Rooms, chairs and equipment with a capacity and their own hours. A service can need a resource alone, a person alone, or both, and capacity is enforced when the booking is made. | **Partly** — Rooms and equipment are resource types that must be free for an appointment to be booked, but they are invisible to customers, are available around the clock with hours that cannot be edited, and do not affect availability for classes or courses. An appointment cannot be booked without a team member; the help centre's workaround is a placeholder staff profile. A capacity above one per resource is not described. [source](https://support.wix.com/en/article/wix-bookings-managing-your-resources) |
| [Classes and events with a capacity](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-wix-bookings#group-classes) | **Yes** — Events with a capacity and a registration list for one-off things; a recurring class is a service on a resource with a capacity, so it fills up and stops. | **Yes** — Classes repeat on a schedule with a maximum number of participants; courses are a fixed set of dated sessions with a maximum, optionally bookable after they start. A customer can book several places at once in a class or course, but not in an appointment. [source](https://support.wix.com/en/article/setting-availability-for-classes-in-wix-bookings) |
| [A different price per team member](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-wix-bookings#per-staff-pricing) | **Yes** — A service can be priced per team member, or per category such as Junior and Senior, and the customer sees which is which. | **Yes** — 'Varied prices' lets an appointment cost a different amount depending on the team member. The help centre warns that customers cannot reschedule a session paid at a varied price. [source](https://support.wix.com/en/article/wix-bookings-understanding-price-options) |
| [A different duration per team member](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-wix-bookings#per-staff-duration) | **Yes** — A service can take a different time per team member. Leave someone blank and they use the service's own duration. | **Not published** — Duration is set per service, from presets or a custom value up to 99 hours. Neither the appointment article nor the price-options article describes a duration that changes with the team member. |
| [Buffer time that blocks the calendar](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-wix-bookings#buffer-time) | **Yes** — A buffer after every service blocks the person and any resource it used. Enforced on the booking page and in the booking API. | **Partly** — Buffer time can only be added after an appointment — blocking time before means adding it to the calendar by hand — and only on services with a fixed duration, not classes. The buffer does not show as busy in a synced personal calendar. A buffer before appointments is an open feature request. [source](https://support.wix.com/en/article/wix-bookings-adding-a-time-buffer-after-appointments) |
| [A waiting list with automatic offers](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-wix-bookings#waitlist) | **Yes** — A cancellation is offered automatically to whoever has waited longest for that service, with a three-hour countdown. Confirming books them straight in. | **Partly** — For classes, a waiting list notifies people in order when a place opens, with a holding window — but customers can only join it through a Wix mobile app; on the web they are prompted to download one. For appointments the list is kept by hand with no automatic notification, and Wix points to a third-party App Market app. Courses have no waiting list. [source](https://support.wix.com/en/article/wix-bookings-adding-and-setting-up-waitlists) |
| [Recurring bookings](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-wix-bookings#recurring-bookings) | **Partly** — Your team can create a repeating series from the calendar — weekly, every two weeks or monthly, up to 52 visits. Customers cannot book a recurring appointment themselves. | **Partly** — The business can set an appointment to repeat, up to 12 occurrences at a time in one order. Customers cannot book a repeating appointment themselves, and multi-service appointments cannot repeat. [source](https://support.wix.com/en/article/wix-bookings-scheduling-recurring-appointments) |
| [Booking rules](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-wix-bookings#booking-rules) | **Yes** — Minimum notice, maximum advance days, slot interval, auto-confirm or approval, and a cancellation window — one set of rules per business. | **Yes** — A booking window with a start and a cut-off, cancellation and reschedule windows, manual approval per service (not with deposits or plan-paid services), and slots generated from the service duration plus buffer or at a fixed interval. [source](https://support.wix.com/en/article/wix-bookings-setting-up-your-booking-policies) |
| [Customers cancel or reschedule themselves](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-wix-bookings#self-service-cancel-reschedule) | **Partly** — Customers cancel from the confirmation email, outside your cancellation window. Rescheduling is cancel and book again; there is no one-step move. | **Yes** — A 'Manage Booking' button in confirmation, reminder and change emails; members also have a 'My Bookings' page. Not available for bookings paid at a varied price, for services with manual approval, or for multi-appointment bookings made by non-members. [source](https://support.wix.com/en/article/wix-bookings-allowing-clients-to-cancel-or-reschedule-sessions) |
| [Deposits and no-show protection](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-wix-bookings#deposits-no-show) | **No** — No card on file and no deposits, because Bookodile does not process payments. A no-show is recorded on the customer, not charged. | **Yes** — A fixed-amount deposit with the rest paid in person (a percentage deposit is an open request), a card-on-file requirement, and cancellation or no-show fees as a fixed amount or a percentage with free, paid and last-minute windows. Charging a saved card works with Wix Payments, PayPal, Stripe and three other named processors; fee setup is desktop only. [source](https://support.wix.com/en/article/wix-bookings-selecting-how-you-charge-for-bookings-services) |
| [Extras offered while booking](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-wix-bookings#upsells) | **Yes** — Extras are offered while booking, per service or per category, in up to several rounds, with an optional discount for adding them. | **Yes** — Service add-ons that change the price or the duration — up to three groups of seven for appointments, one group for classes and courses, which cannot add time. Not offered in the native mobile app. A third-party Service Upsell Guru app is also recommended. [source](https://support.wix.com/en/article/wix-bookings-creating-and-managing-service-add-ons) |

### [What customers see](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-wix-bookings#group-customers)

| | Bookodile | Wix Bookings |
|---|---|---|
| [Listed in a consumer marketplace](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-wix-bookings#marketplace) | **No** — No marketplace. Your booking page carries only your business, and no competitor is shown beside you — which also means it sends you no new customers. | **No** — No Wix-run consumer directory. The channels it documents are the business's own site, Google, a Facebook or Instagram button, ClassPass and Hopp. ClassPass is a third-party channel whose terms Wix does not publish. [source](https://support.wix.com/en/article/wix-bookings-about-booking-integrations) |
| [An app for customers](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-wix-bookings#customer-app) | **No** — No consumer app. Customers book in the browser, and a web portal lists every booking they hold with any Bookodile business. | **Yes** — Spaces by Wix, free on iOS and Android, lets customers book, reschedule, join class waiting lists and pay; Fit by Wix is a second app for class-based businesses. A Branded App under the business's own name is a paid subscription, plus Apple's and Google's developer fees. [source](https://support.wix.com/en/article/about-the-spaces-by-wix-app) |
| [Booking page languages](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-wix-bookings#languages) | **Yes** — English, Slovak, Czech and Vietnamese, set per business. What your customers read and what you read in the dashboard are separate settings. | **Partly** — The booking pages' system text is available in a fixed list of languages that includes Czech, English and German; Slovak and Vietnamese are not on it. A site in several languages uses Wix Multilingual, which cannot translate the booking form automatically and is not available in the Wix Harmony editor. [source](https://support.wix.com/en/article/changing-languages-in-wix-bookings) |
| [Your business's time zone, shown correctly](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-wix-bookings#timezones) | **Yes** — Every time is shown in the business's own zone, including on your dashboard. A customer in another zone sees both clocks before they confirm. | **Yes** — Show the business's time zone, the customer's, or let the customer choose. The mobile apps show the business zone only, and with several locations only the default location's zone is shown on the site. [source](https://support.wix.com/en/article/setting-the-time-zone-display-in-wix-bookings) |
| [Branding](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-wix-bookings#branding) | **Partly** — Your logo, a second logo for dark backgrounds, a logo that links back to your own website, your brand colour with a contrast check, and a banner strip. No custom CSS and no custom domain. | **Yes** — The booking pages are pages of the business's own Wix site, designed in the editor and served on its own domain — every paid plan includes a custom domain, free for the first year on a yearly plan. [source](https://www.wix.com/plans) |
| [Dark mode on the booking page](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-wix-bookings#dark-mode) | **Yes** — The hosted page follows the customer's device. The embedded widget stays light on purpose, so it matches the website it sits in. | **Not published** — Nothing is published about a dark theme or a device-following theme for the booking pages. Their colours are whatever the owner designs in the editor. |
| [Book buttons on Google, Instagram and Facebook](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-wix-bookings#social-booking) | **No** — No Reserve with Google or Instagram integration. Your booking link goes in your Google profile, your bio or a post like any link. | **Yes** — Reserve with Google needs a connected domain, a paid plan and a verified Google Business Profile, and live availability on Google is currently limited to one business category. A Book button on Facebook or Instagram, not both. A ClassPass channel. [source](https://support.wix.com/en/article/wix-bookings-adding-and-setting-up-a-google-book-button) |

### [Running the business](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-wix-bookings#group-operations)

| | Bookodile | Wix Bookings |
|---|---|---|
| [Calendar](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-wix-bookings#calendar) | **Yes** — Day, week and month. Drag a booking to a new time or a different person, block out time, add a walk-in, filter by person or service. A visit with several services moves as one — dragged in the calendar, or from the booking dialog, which offers only the times that fit everyone in it. | **Yes** — Weekly, daily, staff and list views, filtered by service, team member or location, colour-coded by team member or service, with drag and drop and blocked-off time. A monthly view, and drag and drop in the mobile app, are open feature requests. [source](https://support.wix.com/en/article/wix-bookings-about-the-wix-booking-calendar) |
| [A native app for your team](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-wix-bookings#staff-app) | **No** — No native app. The dashboard is a web app that installs to a phone's home screen and works there. | **Yes** — The Wix app on iOS and Android manages the schedule, marks bookings paid or attended, takes point-of-sale payments and assigns resources. Resources can be assigned in the app but created only on desktop. [source](https://support.wix.com/en/using-the-wix-app-to-manage-your-bookings) |
| [Several locations in one account](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-wix-bookings#multi-location) | **Yes** — Any number of locations in one account, each with its own team, hours, services and booking page, and a group dashboard that totals them. | **Yes** — Several business locations under one site and one plan, with team hours set per location. A course can be offered at one location only, booking emails go to the default location's address, and the site shows the default location's time zone. [source](https://support.wix.com/en/article/wix-bookings-offering-services-at-multiple-locations) |
| [Roles and permissions](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-wix-bookings#roles-permissions) | **Yes** — Owner, Manager, Employee and Receptionist ready-made, or build a role and set each permission by hand — including whether someone sees only their own bookings, customers and figures. | **Yes** — Bookings Staff Member, Bookings Manager and Bookings Admin roles, plus custom roles such as one limited to managing personal working hours. Every team member with a role uses one of the plan's collaborator seats — 5 on Core, 10 on Business, 100 on Business Elite — and an invitation expires after 30 days. [source](https://support.wix.com/en/article/adding-staff-permissions-in-wix-bookings) |
| [Reports](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-wix-bookings#reports) | **Yes** — Revenue, bookings, average value and cancellation rate; twelve months charted; top services; team ranked by revenue; per location or across all. Forecasting and revenue split are included add-ons. | **Yes** — Bookings analytics: bookings over time, top customers, popular services and session times, staff activity, customers at risk of leaving, overdue payments and booking channels. Sales and accounting reports sit in Wix Analytics, and the booking list and staff hours export to CSV. [source](https://support.wix.com/en/article/understanding-wix-bookings-analytics-reports) |
| [A leaderboard for the team](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-wix-bookings#team-leaderboard) | **Yes** — A monthly competition on bookings or revenue that the whole team sees, with a winner per category if you want one, results frozen and emailed on the 1st, and a Hall of fame. Revenue amounts stay hidden from the team unless you show them. An included add-on. | **Partly** — The Bookings analytics staff report compares team members on sessions, unique clients, session time and check-in rate, for roles that can view analytics; the staff member role's documented permissions do not include reports. No ranking, winner or goal is described. [source](https://support.wix.com/en/article/understanding-wix-bookings-analytics-reports) |
| [Point of sale, stock and payroll](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-wix-bookings#pos-inventory-payroll) | **No** — No point of sale, no stock, no payroll. A walk-in is a booking. | **Partly** — Wix POS Register is for businesses in the US and Canada only; mobile POS and Tap to Pay in the US, UK and Canada, elsewhere through Square or SumUp. Stock is handled by Wix Stores. A Payroll Calculator app works out gross pay from flat, percentage or per-participant rates; it does not run payroll. [source](https://support.wix.com/en/article/wix-mobile-pos-an-overview) |
| [Confirmations and reminders](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-wix-bookings#reminders) | **Partly** — Email confirmations, reminders the day before and two hours before, cancellations and follow-ups — all included, in your business's language. Text messages are built but not switched on. | **Partly** — Email confirmations, cancellations and reminders come pre-installed, with only certain parts editable. Text and WhatsApp messages — confirmation, cancellation, approval and one reminder fixed at 24 hours before, timing not adjustable — draw on the plan's monthly quota of 50 on Core, 100 on Business and 250 on Business Elite, with no rollover; larger bundles are sold separately at prices the article does not print. ## [Where Wix Bookings is stronger](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-wix-bookings#strengths)

- **[The booking pages are your whole website](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-wix-bookings#strength-the-booking-pages-are-your-whole-website)** — Wix is a site builder first: the booking pages sit on your own domain next to your blog, your shop and your search settings, designed in the same editor. Bookodile gives you a hosted page at bookodile.com and a widget to embed in a site you already have; it has no custom domain and no site builder.
- **[It takes your customers' money](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-wix-bookings#strength-it-takes-your-customers-money)** — Wix Payments processes cards in 15 countries at published rates, other processors connect elsewhere, and Bookings supports a fixed deposit, a card on file, no-show fees, pay links and point of sale in the US, UK and Canada. Bookodile does not process payments; the payment-tracking add-on records what you were paid.
- **[Memberships, packages, gift cards and loyalty, sold online](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-wix-bookings#strength-memberships-packages-gift-cards-and-loyalty-sold-online)** — Wix sells memberships billed on a schedule, session packages, gift cards and a loyalty programme through the same checkout as the bookings. Bookodile has gift vouchers, discount codes and promotions, issued by you rather than sold online, and no packages or memberships.
- **[Native apps for customers and for the team](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-wix-bookings#strength-native-apps-for-customers-and-for-the-team)** — Customers get the free Spaces by Wix app and, for a subscription, a Branded App under your own name; the team gets the Wix app on iOS and Android. Bookodile's dashboard and booking page are web apps that install to a phone's home screen.
- **[More channels and a public API](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-wix-bookings#strength-more-channels-and-a-public-api)** — Reserve with Google, a Facebook or Instagram Book button, a ClassPass channel, two-way Google Calendar sync plus Outlook and Apple, a REST API and an App Market. Bookodile pushes bookings to Google Calendar one way, has no social booking buttons and no public API.
- **[More booking-page languages, and a person on the line](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-wix-bookings#strength-more-booking-page-languages-and-a-person-on-the-line)** — Wix's booking pages come in a long list of languages including Czech and German, and every plan has 24/7 customer care by chat and callback. Bookodile has four languages — English, Slovak, Czech and Vietnamese, two of which Wix does not list — and support by email.

## Notes for anyone selling Bookodile

These are the claims not to make against Wix Bookings, because they are not true:

- Do not quote a dollar, euro or pound figure for a Wix plan. The plans page renders prices per visitor region, we could read none for Europe, and every figure in circulation is a third-party one. Send people to the plans page.
- Do not say Wix Bookings cannot be embedded in a website that is not on Wix. No help-centre article covers it either way.
- Do not say Wix has no duration per team member, no dark mode and no reviews feature. Each is undocumented, not disproven, and third-party review apps exist in its App Market.
- Do not say Wix takes a commission on bookings. It publishes none; the only per-transaction charge is card processing when Wix Payments is used. Do not describe ClassPass's terms — Wix does not publish them.
- Do not claim Bookodile is cheaper for a large team on one site. Wix charges per site, not per person, so a business with many booking spots may pay less on Wix. Compare the two bills.
- Do not imply Bookodile takes card payments, deposits, a card on file or no-show fees. Wix does; Bookodile does not.
- Do not repeat review-site or app-store sentiment about Wix as fact.

## [Common questions](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-wix-bookings#faq)

**[Is Wix Bookings free?](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-wix-bookings#faq-is-wix-bookings-free)**

The app is free to add to a free Wix site, but that site cannot take a booking — the help centre says the site must be upgraded to accept bookings, and the first plan that does is Core. Bookodile is free at one location with up to two active booking spots and 40 bookings a month, with every add-on included.

**[Can I move my customers from Wix to Bookodile?](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-wix-bookings#faq-can-i-move-my-customers-from-wix-to-bookodile)**

Wix exports contacts as a CSV file, up to 50,000 at a time, and the booking list as a CSV with fixed fields. Bookodile does not yet import either. Customers are created the first time they book, so the list rebuilds itself as regulars return, and your team can add anyone by hand.

**[Does Bookodile take payments like Wix?](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-wix-bookings#faq-does-bookodile-take-payments-like-wix)**

No. Wix processes cards through Wix Payments or a connected processor and can hold a card on file, take a fixed deposit and charge a no-show fee. Bookodile does not process payments or take deposits; payment stays between you and your customer, and the payment-tracking add-on records what arrived.

**[Which languages can my customers book in?](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-wix-bookings#faq-which-languages-can-my-customers-book-in)**

Wix's booking pages come in a fixed list of languages that includes Czech, English and German but not Slovak or Vietnamese. Bookodile offers English, Slovak, Czech and Vietnamese, set per business, separately from the language you read the dashboard in.

**[What happens to my Wix website if I move the bookings?](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-wix-bookings#faq-what-happens-to-my-wix-website-if-i-move-the-bookings)**

Your site stays on Wix — Bookodile replaces the booking pages, not the website. Its widget embeds in a Wix page with one snippet, or you link to the hosted page at bookodile.com from your site, your Google Business profile and your bio. Bookodile has no Reserve with Google or Instagram button, so those become ordinary links.

**[How does the pricing compare for a business with three people?](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-wix-bookings#faq-how-does-the-pricing-compare-for-a-business-with-three-people)**

On Wix, three people who each manage their own calendar fit inside Core's five collaborator seats, and the price is the site plan whatever the headcount. On Bookodile, three people each taking bookings at the same time are three booking spots, which is above the free tier; the figure for your country is on the pricing page. If they share one room, that is one spot.

## Who Wix Bookings is for

Wix Bookings is not a product you buy on its own. It is an app inside the Wix
website builder: the booking pages are pages of your site, the price is the
site plan that unlocks them, and the team is managed through the site's
collaborator seats. The product itself is general: appointments, classes and
courses, resources, automations, memberships and packages, and payments where
Wix Payments operates. It suits a business whose website is already on Wix, or
that wants the site and the bookings designed in one editor on one domain.

Bookodile is a booking system and nothing else. It sits beside a website
rather than inside it — a hosted page, or a widget on a site you already have
— and it is built for a business where people are priced and timed
differently, where a room or a machine is the real limit, and where one visit
can involve two people.

## The pricing model, in practice

Wix charges per site. The plan you need for bookings is Core or above, the
displayed price is a year paid in full at purchase, and it renews for the same
period at the full price. There is no trial of a paid plan; a new plan carries
a 14-day money-back guarantee, a renewal does not.

Two things follow from per-site pricing. First, the plan sets how many people
can manage their own calendar: every team member with dashboard permissions
uses one of the site's collaborator seats — five on Core, ten on Business, a
hundred on Business Elite. Second, text messages are metered by plan — 50, 100
or 250 a month — with larger bundles sold separately at prices the help centre
does not print.

Prices vary by region and the plans page renders them for the visitor's
country. We could not read a euro or pound figure from it, so this page quotes
none; read the plans page from your own country.

Bookodile charges per location plus per booking spot that took a booking that
month. Nobody is a seat: any number of people can have an account and a role,
and a person who takes no bookings costs nothing. The figures for your country
are on [the pricing page](/pricing) and the model is explained in
[What Bookodile costs](/docs/what-bookodile-costs).

Which is cheaper depends on the shape of the business. A large team on one
site pays Wix one site plan whatever the headcount; on Bookodile the same team
pays per spot. A small business that does not need a website may be free on
Bookodile, and cannot take a booking on a free Wix site.

## Two services, two people

Wix's help centre is specific here.

A customer picks a first service and presses *+ Add Service*; up to five
services go into one multi-service appointment, on the same date and at the
same location, and the customer can choose a team member for each. The
sessions appear one after another in the calendar, and the times offered are
only those at which every service in the chain is available. It needs a paid
plan, works on the web but not in any Wix mobile app, uses only the default
booking form, cannot repeat, and the customer can only cancel the whole
booking.

Three things Wix says it does not do. Processing time — a gap inside a service
where the person is free — is not possible and is an open feature request. A
multi-service booking cannot be limited to one team member for every service;
the article's own FAQ answers that with "Currently no". And two services at
the same time for one customer, with two people, can only be set up by the
business, not booked by the customer. What the article does not say is how
each person's time is blocked when the services go to different people; it
describes the result only as sessions one after another. This page does not
guess.

In Bookodile the same thing is a combo service: two stages, each with its own
team member, its own duration and its own room if it needs one, booked back to
back, and each person blocked only for their own stage. The customer books
once.

## Switching from Wix Bookings

- **Customers.** Wix exports contacts as CSV, up to 50,000 at a time.
Bookodile has no import tool yet; customers are created the first time they
book, and your team can add anyone by hand.
- **Bookings.** Wix exports the booking list as CSV. Bookodile does not import
bookings; run the two side by side until the Wix calendar empties, then
  switch the link.
- **Your website.** It stays on Wix if you want it to. Embed Bookodile's widget
in a Wix page with one snippet, or link to the hosted page. The site plan is
a separate decision — Light and the free site keep the website without
  scheduling.
- **Memberships and packages.** Wix sells them; Bookodile has neither, so
anything a customer has already paid for in a package is yours to track.
- **Reserve with Google, the Facebook or Instagram button, ClassPass.** These
are Wix integrations; Bookodile has no equivalent. Your Google Business
profile can still carry the booking link.
- **Payments, deposits and cards on file.** If Wix takes them for you, you need
a separate way to do that. Bookodile records payments; it does not take them.
- **Text reminders.** Wix sends them from the plan quota. Bookodile's reminders
are email; text messages are built but not switched on.

## Where each one fits

Choose Wix Bookings if your website is on Wix or you want the site and the
bookings designed together on your own domain, if you take payments, deposits
or no-show fees at booking, sell memberships or packages, want native apps for
customers and team, or need Reserve with Google.

Choose Bookodile if you want bookings without buying a site plan, if your team
is bigger than a plan's collaborator seats and you would rather pay for booking
spots than for seats, if a room or a machine limits what you can take, if
your people are priced or timed differently, if you want an automatic waiting
list for appointments, or if your customers read Slovak or Vietnamese.
