# Bookodile vs SimplePOS

> SimplePOS is a US point-of-sale system with online booking attached, sold with card terminals and processing through payment resellers, and with almost nothing about its booking page published. Bookodile is booking only, with a published price and every behaviour documented.

_SimplePOS's facts checked against its own published pages on 2026-09-09; Bookodile's column checked against the product on 2026-09-13. Source: https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-simplepos_

## [About SimplePOS](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-simplepos#about)

- Website: https://simplepossystem.com
- Built for: One trade only — 'SimplePOS for Nails Salons & Spa' on the vendor's site; the reseller's product site says 'designed specifically for nail salons and spas'. A desktop tier is pitched at 'stores with more than 30 technicians'.
- Markets: United States. The vendor's contact number is American, the reseller serves all 50 states, and the booking page's phone field accepts North American ten-digit numbers only. Nothing published says whether it is available anywhere else.

## [What SimplePOS charges](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-simplepos#pricing)

There is no price list. The vendor's site publishes no software price, no plans and no trial — it says 'Get Contact With Us' with a phone number, and 'Wide products selection suitable for your desire budget'. The product is sold through merchant-services resellers as hardware packages with card processing, quoted on request. The reseller Joy Payment's product site lists three packages, each with a 'Request Demo' button and no price, and offers 'Start your free 30 day trial – no credit card required'; its own merchant-services page advertises 'Free Terminal & Supplies' with the conditions unstated and prints its own card rates, which are the reseller's, not SimplePOS's. What the software costs, what is included in it, whether text messages are charged, and whether there is a minimum term are not published anywhere.

| Plan | Price | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Software | Not published | The vendor's site says 'Get Contact With Us' and gives a phone number |
| Hardware packages, via reseller | Not published | Three packages on the reseller's product site, each with 'Request Demo' |
| Trial, via reseller | Free for 30 days | 'No credit card required', on the reseller's site; the vendor's site mentions no trial |

## What Bookodile charges

A base rate per location plus a rate per booking spot that actually took a booking that month, in country bands. Every feature and add-on is included at every price, there is no commission, and it is free at one location with up to two active spots and 40 bookings a month. The figures live on one page so they cannot drift: https://bookodile.com/pricing — and the model is explained at https://bookodile.com/docs/what-bookodile-costs.

## [Why businesses switch from SimplePOS](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-simplepos#why-switch)

- **[The price is on a page, not at the end of a phone call](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-simplepos#reason-the-price-is-on-a-page-not-at-the-end-of-a-phone-call)** — SimplePOS publishes no software price, no plans and no terms; you phone the vendor or request a demo from a reseller, and the quote bundles card hardware and a merchant account. Bookodile's price is on its pricing page for every country it serves, with a free tier at one location with up to two active booking spots and 40 bookings a month, no commission and no minimum term.
- **[What the booking page does is written down](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-simplepos#reason-what-the-booking-page-does-is-written-down)** — SimplePOS has no help centre and no feature page for its booking portal, so nothing published says how several services or team members are handled, whether there is buffer time, a waiting list, a cancellation window or per-person prices. Bookodile documents every one of those rows, and they are all included: combo services with a different team member per stage, a price and a duration per person, buffers, a waiting list with automatic offers and rooms with a capacity.
- **[A booking page in your customers' language](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-simplepos#reason-a-booking-page-in-your-customers-language)** — SimplePOS's booking page is English only, with no language switcher; the Vietnamese its reseller sells and supports in appears in demo videos and on the support line, not on the page a customer books on. Bookodile's booking page is in English, Slovak, Czech or Vietnamese, set per business and separately from the language you read your dashboard in.
- **[Booking without a card terminal](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-simplepos#reason-booking-without-a-card-terminal)** — SimplePOS is a point of sale first: online booking is attached to a till sold with PAX terminals and card processing through resellers. Bookodile is booking only — no hardware, no processor, no merchant account; payment stays between you and your customer, and the payment-tracking add-on records what you were paid.
- **[Reminders that are included, in the right language](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-simplepos#reason-reminders-that-are-included-in-the-right-language)** — SimplePOS's reseller promises automated text alerts, and nothing published says whether they are included or charged, or whether email reminders exist at all. Bookodile sends email confirmations, reminders the day before and two hours before, cancellations and follow-ups, included and in your business's language.

## [Feature by feature](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-simplepos#features)

### [Pricing](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-simplepos#group-pricing)

| | Bookodile | SimplePOS |
|---|---|---|
| [A free plan that stays free](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-simplepos#free-tier) | **Yes** — Free at one location with up to two active booking spots and 40 bookings a month, every add-on included. Not a trial — a plan a small business stays on. | **Not published** — No free plan is published by the vendor or by its reseller. The only free thing on offer is the reseller's 30-day trial, which is a trial. |
| [No commission on bookings](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-simplepos#no-commission) | **Yes** — No commission, no new-client fee, no per-booking charge. The bill is the subscription and nothing else. | **Not published** — No per-booking fee is published, and none is ruled out. The vendor publishes no price list of any kind. |
| [Every feature included](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-simplepos#everything-included) | **Yes** — Every add-on is free and included — reminders, reviews, vouchers, the waiting list, multi-location, forecasting. Nothing is sold separately. | **Not published** — No plan is published, so nothing says what the software price includes. Hardware is sold as separate packages by the reseller. |
| [The same features on every plan](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-simplepos#no-plan-gating) | **Yes** — There are no plans and no tiers. Every account, including a free one, has every feature. | **Not published** — No plans or tiers are published, so nothing can be said about what sits on which one. |
| [No minimum term or cancellation fee](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-simplepos#no-contract) | **Yes** — Monthly, no minimum term, no cancellation fee. Paying yearly is optional and costs ten months. | **Not published** — No minimum term, cancellation fee or renewal terms are published by the vendor, and the reseller's pages state none. |
| [Processes your customers' card payments](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-simplepos#payment-processing) | **No** — Bookodile does not take your customers' money. The payment-tracking add-on records what you were paid; payment stays between you and the customer. | **Yes** — The core product is a point of sale with card terminals: the vendor lists PAX Aries 8, A35, S300 and A800 pinpads, and the software is sold with a merchant account through payment resellers. Whether you can bring your own processor is not published. [source](https://simplepossystem.com/) |

### [Taking bookings](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-simplepos#group-booking)

| | Bookodile | SimplePOS |
|---|---|---|
| [A hosted booking page](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-simplepos#hosted-booking-page) | **Yes** — bookodile.com/book/your-business, with your logo, colour, services and hours. One page per location. | **Yes** — A page for each business at a simplepos.us subdomain, titled 'SimplePOS Online Booking'. The vendor describes it as a 'Smart and powerful portal to manage booking for your store'. [source](https://simplepossystem.com/) |
| [Booking on your own website](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-simplepos#embed-widget) | **Yes** — One snippet embeds the whole flow in any site — WordPress, Wix, Squarespace or hand-built — inline or behind a Book-now button. A QR code is generated for print. | **Not published** — No embed code, iframe or button is published for putting the booking page on your own website. |
| [Customers book without an account or an app](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-simplepos#guest-booking) | **Yes** — A name plus an email or a phone number. No account, no app, no password. A web portal shows customers every booking they hold, if they want it. | **Yes** — A customer books on the public page without creating an account or installing anything. A phone number is required, and the field accepts North American ten-digit numbers only. Whether a business can make sign-in compulsory is not published. [source](https://venusnaillounge6199.simplepos.us/) |
| [Several services in one booking](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-simplepos#multi-service-booking) | **Partly** — Combo services chain stages into one booking, and the extras you configure are offered during booking, in more than one round. Customers do not pick arbitrary pairs from the catalogue — you decide which combinations exist. | **Not published** — Neither the vendor nor the reseller says whether a customer can put several services into one booking. |
| [Back-to-back services with different team members](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-simplepos#multi-staff-sequential) | **Yes** — Each stage of a combo can have its own team member, its own duration and its own room, booked back to back. Each person is blocked only for their own stage, never for the whole visit. Staff move the whole visit in one step, at times that fit every person in it. | **Not published** — Nothing published says whether the services in one booking can go to different team members, or how each person's time is blocked if they do. |
| [Rooms, chairs and equipment as bookable resources](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-simplepos#resources) | **Yes** — Rooms, chairs and equipment with a capacity and their own hours. A service can need a resource alone, a person alone, or both, and capacity is enforced when the booking is made. | **Not published** — Nothing published mentions rooms, chairs or equipment as something a customer can book. |
| [Classes and events with a capacity](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-simplepos#group-classes) | **Yes** — Events with a capacity and a registration list for one-off things; a recurring class is a service on a resource with a capacity, so it fills up and stops. | **Not published** — No classes, events or capacity feature is described on any page. |
| [A different price per team member](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-simplepos#per-staff-pricing) | **Yes** — A service can be priced per team member, or per category such as Junior and Senior, and the customer sees which is which. | **Not published** — Nothing published says whether a service can carry a different price per team member. |
| [A different duration per team member](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-simplepos#per-staff-duration) | **Yes** — A service can take a different time per team member. Leave someone blank and they use the service's own duration. | **Not published** — Nothing published says whether a service can take a different time per team member. |
| [Buffer time that blocks the calendar](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-simplepos#buffer-time) | **Yes** — A buffer after every service blocks the person and any resource it used. Enforced on the booking page and in the booking API. | **Not published** — No buffer or gap setting is described on any page. |
| [A waiting list with automatic offers](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-simplepos#waitlist) | **Yes** — A cancellation is offered automatically to whoever has waited longest for that service, with a three-hour countdown. Confirming books them straight in. | **Not published** — No waiting list is described on any page. |
| [Recurring bookings](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-simplepos#recurring-bookings) | **Partly** — Your team can create a repeating series from the calendar — weekly, every two weeks or monthly, up to 52 visits. Customers cannot book a recurring appointment themselves. | **Not published** — Nothing published says whether a booking can repeat, for the team or for customers. |
| [Booking rules](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-simplepos#booking-rules) | **Yes** — Minimum notice, maximum advance days, slot interval, auto-confirm or approval, and a cancellation window — one set of rules per business. | **Not published** — No lead time, scheduling window, approval step, cancellation window or slot spacing is described on any page. |
| [Customers cancel or reschedule themselves](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-simplepos#self-service-cancel-reschedule) | **Partly** — Customers cancel from the confirmation email, outside your cancellation window. Rescheduling is cancel and book again; there is no one-step move. | **Not published** — The reseller's product site says customers can 'book, reschedule, or cancel appointments in seconds through an easy online interface'. The vendor's own site says nothing, and no page describes how a customer does it or within what window. Treat it as unconfirmed. |
| [Deposits and no-show protection](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-simplepos#deposits-no-show) | **No** — No card on file and no deposits, because Bookodile does not process payments. A no-show is recorded on the customer, not charged. | **Not published** — No deposit, card-on-file or no-show charge is described on any vendor or reseller page. |
| [Extras offered while booking](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-simplepos#upsells) | **Yes** — Extras are offered while booking, per service or per category, in up to several rounds, with an optional discount for adding them. | **Not published** — Nothing published describes extras or add-ons offered during booking. |

### [What customers see](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-simplepos#group-customers)

| | Bookodile | SimplePOS |
|---|---|---|
| [Listed in a consumer marketplace](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-simplepos#marketplace) | **No** — No marketplace. Your booking page carries only your business, and no competitor is shown beside you — which also means it sends you no new customers. | **No** — No consumer directory. The vendor describes online booking as a portal for your own business at its own simplepos.us address, and neither app store carries a consumer app under the name. [source](https://simplepossystem.com/) |
| [An app for customers](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-simplepos#customer-app) | **No** — No consumer app. Customers book in the browser, and a web portal lists every booking they hold with any Bookodile business. | **No** — No app for customers. The only app published under the name is Simple Report, for owners — 'View reports from stores' and 'View and control your booking from Simple POS system' — on iOS and Android. [source](https://apps.apple.com/us/app/simple-report/id6484503872) |
| [Booking page languages](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-simplepos#languages) | **Yes** — English, Slovak, Czech and Vietnamese, set per business. What your customers read and what you read in the dashboard are separate settings. | **Partly** — English only. The public booking page renders in English and has no language switcher. Vietnamese appears in the reseller's demo videos and support line, not on the booking page. No Slovak or Czech. [source](https://venusnaillounge6199.simplepos.us/) |
| [Your business's time zone, shown correctly](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-simplepos#timezones) | **Yes** — Every time is shown in the business's own zone, including on your dashboard. A customer in another zone sees both clocks before they confirm. | **Not published** — Nothing on the vendor's or the reseller's pages says how a business's time zone is handled or shown. |
| [Branding](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-simplepos#branding) | **Partly** — Your logo, a second logo for dark backgrounds, a logo that links back to your own website, your brand colour with a contrast check, and a banner strip. No custom CSS and no custom domain. | **Partly** — The public page carries the business's name on SimplePOS's own layout, under SimplePOS's page title, at a simplepos.us subdomain. Whether colours or fonts can be changed, or a custom domain used, is not published. [source](https://venusnaillounge6199.simplepos.us/) |
| [Dark mode on the booking page](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-simplepos#dark-mode) | **Yes** — The hosted page follows the customer's device. The embedded widget stays light on purpose, so it matches the website it sits in. | **Not published** — No page mentions a dark theme for the booking page, and it was not verified on the page itself. |
| [Book buttons on Google, Instagram and Facebook](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-simplepos#social-booking) | **No** — No Reserve with Google or Instagram integration. Your booking link goes in your Google profile, your bio or a post like any link. | **Not published** — No Reserve with Google, Instagram or Facebook booking button is described on any page. |

### [Running the business](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-simplepos#group-operations)

| | Bookodile | SimplePOS |
|---|---|---|
| [Calendar](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-simplepos#calendar) | **Yes** — Day, week and month. Drag a booking to a new time or a different person, block out time, add a walk-in, filter by person or service. A visit with several services moves as one — dragged in the calendar, or from the booking dialog, which offers only the times that fit everyone in it. | **Not published** — The vendor says only that its portal manages bookings, and the owner app lets you 'view and control your booking'. No page describes the calendar's views, moving a booking or blocking out time. |
| [A native app for your team](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-simplepos#staff-app) | **No** — No native app. The dashboard is a web app that installs to a phone's home screen and works there. | **Partly** — A native owner app, Simple Report, on iOS and Android, for store reports and to 'view and control your booking'. The point of sale itself runs on Android tablets, PAX all-in-one terminals and a touch-screen desktop; no app-store listing for it was found. [source](https://apps.apple.com/us/app/simple-report/id6484503872) |
| [Several locations in one account](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-simplepos#multi-location) | **Yes** — Any number of locations in one account, each with its own team, hours, services and booking page, and a group dashboard that totals them. | **Not published** — The owner app's listing says 'View reports from stores', but no page describes running several locations in one account. |
| [Roles and permissions](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-simplepos#roles-permissions) | **Yes** — Owner, Manager, Employee and Receptionist ready-made, or build a role and set each permission by hand — including whether someone sees only their own bookings, customers and figures. | **Not published** — No roles, permission levels or per-person access controls are described on any page. |
| [Reports](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-simplepos#reports) | **Yes** — Revenue, bookings, average value and cancellation rate; twelve months charted; top services; team ranked by revenue; per location or across all. Forecasting and revenue split are included add-ons. | **Yes** — The reseller lists Dashboard, Tech Report, Transaction, Pay-out, Turn Tracker and Gift Card screens, 'One-Click Payroll Reports' and redemption tracking for promotions; the owner app exists to 'Easily view your store report'. Retention and forecast reports are not mentioned. [source](https://simpleposnails.com/) |
| [A leaderboard for the team](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-simplepos#team-leaderboard) | **Yes** — A monthly competition on bookings or revenue that the whole team sees, with a winner per category if you want one, results frozen and emailed on the 1st, and a Hall of fame. Revenue amounts stay hidden from the team unless you show them. An included add-on. | **Not published** — Nothing published describes a ranking, competition or goal. A reseller's screenshots include a 'Tech Report' screen with no description of what it shows. |
| [Point of sale, stock and payroll](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-simplepos#pos-inventory-payroll) | **No** — No point of sale, no stock, no payroll. A walk-in is a booking. | **Yes** — This is the core product: a point of sale with PAX card terminals, 'Tip calculation, Turn Tracker, Gift Card Management' on the vendor's page; the reseller adds 'Real-Time Inventory Sync', retail items and 'One-Click Payroll Reports'. [source](https://simplepossystem.com/) |
| [Confirmations and reminders](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-simplepos#reminders) | **Partly** — Email confirmations, reminders the day before and two hours before, cancellations and follow-ups — all included, in your business's language. Text messages are built but not switched on. | **Partly** — Text messages: the reseller's page promises 'Automated Reminders' by 'automated SMS alerts', and the vendor publishes SMS terms with STOP and HELP keywords. Whether texts are included or charged, and whether email reminders exist, is not published. [source](https://simpleposnails.com/) |
| [Email and text campaigns](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-simplepos#marketing-campaigns) | **Partly** — No bulk email or text campaigns. An automated win-back sequence for customers who drift away, and promotions shown on the booking page, are included add-ons. | **Partly** — 'Targeted SMS Promotions' and 'Time-Limited Promotions' on the reseller's page. Email campaigns and automated win-back are not mentioned anywhere. [source](https://simpleposnails.com/) |
| [Reviews](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-simplepos#reviews) | **Yes** — Collect a review after each visit, publish on your booking page when you choose, reply in public or privately, and ask happy customers for a Google review in the same email. | **Not published** — No page describes collecting, publishing or replying to reviews, or asking for Google reviews. |
| [Gift vouchers, discount codes and promotions](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-simplepos#vouchers-discounts) | **Partly** — Gift vouchers, discount codes, promotions and upsell discounts, all included. No packages or memberships, and vouchers are issued by you rather than sold online. | **Yes** — 'Gift Card Management' on the vendor's page; 'Digital & Printed Gift Cards', promotions and 'bundled packages' on the reseller's. Discount codes at online booking and memberships are not mentioned. [source](https://simpleposnails.com/) |
| [Google or Outlook calendar sync](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-simplepos#calendar-sync) | **Partly** — Bookings are pushed into Google Calendar as they are made, moved or cancelled. One direction only — Google events do not block your availability — and no Outlook. | **Not published** — No Google, Outlook or iCal sync is described on any page. |
| [Intake and consent forms](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-simplepos#forms) | **Partly** — A consent checkbox in your own wording, invoice details that can be optional or required, and a notes field. No custom intake forms and no e-signatures. | **Not published** — No intake or consent forms are described on any page. |
| [Your data: export, import, API](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-simplepos#data-portability) | **Partly** — Export bookings and customers to CSV whenever you like — the list is yours. No import tool yet, and no public API. | **Not published** — No export, import or public API is described. The vendor's privacy policy says data is deleted on a written request. |
| [Support](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-simplepos#support) | **Yes** — Email support, included, with the documentation at bookodile.com/docs behind it. No phone line. | **Partly** — The vendor publishes a phone number and a support email address, with no hours. The reseller Joy Payment advertises '24/7 ENG & VN Tech Support' for its own customers. Onboarding, and whether support costs extra, are not published. [source](https://simplepossystem.com/) |

## [Where SimplePOS is stronger](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-simplepos#strengths)

- **[It is a till, with card terminals and processing built in](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-simplepos#strength-it-is-a-till-with-card-terminals-and-processing-built-in)** — PAX pinpads and all-in-one terminals, tip calculation, a turn tracker and gift cards on the vendor's page; payroll reports, retail items and inventory on the reseller's. Bookodile has no point of sale, no stock and no payroll, and does not process payments.
- **[Gift cards you can sell, packages, and text promotions](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-simplepos#strength-gift-cards-you-can-sell-packages-and-text-promotions)** — Digital and printed gift cards, bundled packages, targeted text promotions and time-limited offers, all in the same system as the till. Bookodile's gift vouchers are issued by you rather than sold online, it has no packages or memberships, and it runs no text campaigns.
- **[A native app for the owner](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-simplepos#strength-a-native-app-for-the-owner)** — Simple Report on iOS and Android shows store reports and lets the owner 'view and control your booking'. Bookodile's dashboard is a web app that installs to a phone's home screen.
- **[Sales and support in Vietnamese, around the clock, through the reseller](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-simplepos#strength-sales-and-support-in-vietnamese-around-the-clock-through-the-reseller)** — Joy Payment demonstrates the product in Vietnamese and advertises '24/7 ENG & VN Tech Support' by phone. Bookodile's support is by email, with no phone line.

## Notes for anyone selling Bookodile

These are the claims not to make against SimplePOS, because they are not true:

- Most of what SimplePOS's booking page does is undocumented: there is no help centre, no feature page and no pricing page. Do not say it lacks multi-service booking, back-to-back services with different team members, rooms or resources, classes, per-person prices or durations, buffer time, a waiting list, recurring bookings, booking rules, deposits, extras, reviews, calendar sync, forms, an export or an API. Every one of those is not published, which is not the same as absent.
- Do not quote a price for SimplePOS — for the software, the hardware, text messages or card processing. None is published by the vendor. A rate printed on a reseller's merchant-services page is the reseller's, not SimplePOS's.
- Do not say SimplePOS has no free plan, takes a commission, holds features back for a higher tier or ties you into a contract. None of that is published either way.
- Do not say SimplePOS customers cannot cancel or reschedule online. The reseller's page says they can; the vendor publishes nothing about how.
- Do not present the reseller Joy Payment's copy — the 30-day trial, 24/7 support, automated reminders, inventory, payroll — as SimplePOS's own promise. It is the reseller's page, and another reseller may offer different terms.
- Do not say SimplePOS is unavailable outside the United States. Nothing published says so; all that can be read is that the booking page's phone field accepts North American numbers.
- Do not cite a rating or a review for SimplePOS. It has no listing on the usual review sites, and the app store shows a handful of ratings for the owner app only.
- Do not imply Bookodile takes card payments, sells gift cards online or runs a till. SimplePOS does; Bookodile does not.

## [Common questions](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-simplepos#faq)

**[Is SimplePOS free?](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-simplepos#faq-is-simplepos-free)**

No free plan is published. The vendor's site gives a phone number and no price; the reseller Joy Payment offers a 30-day trial with no card, after which the software, hardware and card processing are quoted to you. Bookodile is free at one location with up to two active booking spots and 40 bookings a month, with every add-on included, and stays free — it is not a trial.

**[Can I move my customers from SimplePOS to Bookodile?](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-simplepos#faq-can-i-move-my-customers-from-simplepos-to-bookodile)**

SimplePOS publishes no export tool, so ask your reseller what they can give you. Bookodile does not yet import a list either. Customers are created automatically the first time they book, so a list rebuilds itself as regulars return, and your team can add anyone by hand in the meantime.

**[Does Bookodile take card payments like SimplePOS?](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-simplepos#faq-does-bookodile-take-card-payments-like-simplepos)**

No. SimplePOS is a point of sale with card terminals and a merchant account. Bookodile does not process payments, take deposits or hold a card on file. Payment stays between you and your customer, however you already handle it, and the payment-tracking add-on records what arrived.

**[Which languages can my customers book in?](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-simplepos#faq-which-languages-can-my-customers-book-in)**

SimplePOS's booking page is English only and has no language switcher; Vietnamese is offered by the reseller for demos and support, not on the page. Bookodile offers English, Slovak, Czech and Vietnamese, set per business, separately from the language you read your dashboard in.

**[What happens to my booking link?](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-simplepos#faq-what-happens-to-my-booking-link)**

Your SimplePOS page lives at a simplepos.us subdomain. Bookodile gives you bookodile.com/book/your-business, and a snippet to embed the same flow on your own website. Put the new link everywhere the old one lives — Google Business profile, social bio, website — and run the two side by side until the old calendar empties. A QR code is generated for print.

**[How does the pricing compare for a small team?](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-simplepos#faq-how-does-the-pricing-compare-for-a-small-team)**

For SimplePOS, nobody can tell you from a web page: the price is a quote from the vendor or a reseller, bundled with hardware and processing. On Bookodile, three team members who each take their own bookings are three booking spots, which is above the free tier; the figure for your country is on the pricing page. A team member who takes no bookings is not counted.

## Who SimplePOS is for

SimplePOS is a point-of-sale system built for one trade. Its own headline is
"SimplePOS for Nails Salons & Spa", and the reseller's product site says it
is "designed specifically for nail salons and spas". The core is the till:
PAX card terminals, tip calculation, a turn tracker and gift cards on the
vendor's page, with payroll reports, retail items and inventory on the
reseller's. Online booking is a portal at a simplepos.us address, attached to
that till.

It is sold, installed and supported through payment resellers, bundled with
card processing. The vendor's own site is four pages — a home page, two
privacy policies and the terms for its text messages — and there is no help
centre, no feature documentation and no pricing page. Everything on this page
about the booking portal comes from what a customer sees on the public page
or from what the vendor and its reseller print; the rest is marked as not
published.

It is a US product. The vendor's contact number is American, the reseller
Joy Payment serves all 50 states, and the booking page's phone field accepts
North American ten-digit numbers only. Vietnamese appears in the reseller's
demo videos and on its support line. Nothing published says whether the
product is available anywhere else.

Bookodile is booking only. It is for a business where the people are not
interchangeable, where a room or a piece of equipment is the real bottleneck,
and where one visit can involve two people — and it has no till.

## The pricing model, in practice

There is no published price. To get one you phone the vendor, or request a
demo from a reseller, and the quote covers a hardware package — the reseller
lists a 15-inch terminal with a pinpad, a 24-inch desktop and a tablet with a
pinpad — together with a merchant account for card processing. The reseller
offers a 30-day trial with no card, and advertises "Free Terminal & Supplies"
without stating the conditions. The vendor's own site mentions no trial. What
the software costs on its own, what that price includes, whether text
messages are charged separately, and whether there is a minimum term are not
written down anywhere.

Bookodile charges per location plus per booking spot that actually took a
booking that month. People who take no bookings are not counted. The figures
for your country are on [the pricing page](/pricing) and the model is
explained in [What Bookodile costs](/docs/what-bookodile-costs).

Nobody can tell you which is cheaper from a web page, because one side's
price is not on one. Ask the reseller for the whole bill in writing —
software, hardware, processing and texts — and put it next to the pricing
page.

## Two services, two people

This is the row a multi-person business asks about first, and for SimplePOS
there is nothing to read.

The vendor publishes no help centre and no feature page for its booking
portal. Nothing on its site or the reseller's says whether a customer can put
two services into one booking, whether those services can go to two different
team members, or how each person's time is blocked when they do. The
reseller's only sentence about online booking is that customers can "book,
reschedule, or cancel appointments in seconds through an easy online
interface". This page does not fill the gap. If this flow matters to you, ask
the reseller to show exactly it in the demo.

In Bookodile the same thing is a combo service: one service with one person
and a second with another, as stages of one booking. Each stage carries its
own team member, its own duration and its own room if it needs one, and each
person is blocked only for their stage. The customer books once and receives
one confirmation.

## Switching from SimplePOS

- **Customers.** SimplePOS publishes no export; ask your reseller what they
can hand over. Bookodile has no import tool yet; customers are created the
first time they book, and your team can add anyone by hand.
- **Bookings.** Nothing published says whether bookings can be exported, and
Bookodile does not import them. Run the two side by side until the old
calendar empties out, then switch the link.
- **Your booking link.** The SimplePOS page is a simplepos.us subdomain.
Every place it lives — Google Business profile, social bio, your website —
gets the Bookodile link, or the embedded widget. Bookodile generates a QR
  code for the counter.
- **The till.** SimplePOS is your card terminal, your gift cards, your turn
tracker and your payroll. Bookodile replaces none of that: keep the point
of sale, or replace it separately. The payment-tracking add-on records what
you were paid; it does not take the money.
- **Text messages.** If your customers are used to text confirmations,
Bookodile's are email. Text messaging is built but not switched on.
- **Hardware and processing terms.** Whatever you signed for the terminal and
the merchant account is between you and the reseller; nothing about it is
published. Read that agreement before you move.

## Where each one fits

Choose SimplePOS if you want a till and a booking page in one system, card
terminals and processing bundled with the software, gift cards you can sell,
payroll and turn tracking, a native owner app, or a reseller who sells and
supports in Vietnamese by phone.

Choose Bookodile if you want booking without a terminal, a price you can read
before you call anyone, a booking page your customers read in Slovak, Czech or
Vietnamese, people who are priced or timed differently, a room or a piece of
equipment that limits what you can take, one visit that can involve two
people, or more than one location run as one business.
