# Bookodile vs Mindbody

> Mindbody is an all-in-one platform for fitness, wellness and beauty businesses, with a consumer marketplace, payments, memberships and classes, priced per location. Bookodile is a booking system with no plans, no minimum term and a free tier, built for people, rooms and prices that differ.

## [What Mindbody charges](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-mindbody#pricing)

Per location, per month, with unlimited users — adding people does not change the price, adding a location does. In the EU the entry plan, Starter, starts at €99 a month per location; the UK page says £89; Australia sells a different ladder, Go, Core and Growth, at A$89, A$279 and A$369. Accelerate and Ultimate are quoted by sales, the help centre describes an Ultimate Plus tier above them, and Mindbody's site does not publish a United States price list or United States card rates — the help centre says to email for the rates. There is no free plan, and no free trial is published. The terms are the part to read: a 90-day initial term, then 30-day terms with 30 days' notice, optional fixed terms of 12, 24 or 36 months, fees that are non-refundable, and early termination that leaves the whole term payable. Separately, a new client's first purchase through the Mindbody app costs 20% of the price, capped at $30 or 30 in local currency. Mindbody's own pages disagree on where marketing sits: the pricing page puts email and text marketing on Ultimate, while the help centre's package breakdown shows Campaigns from Accelerate.

| Plan | Price | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Starter, EU | €99 | Starting price, per month, per location |
| Starter, UK | £89 | Starting price, per month, per location |
| Go, Australia | A$89 | Per month, per location |
| Core, Australia | A$279 | Per month, per location |
| Growth, Australia | A$369 | Per month, per location |
| Accelerate | Contact | Quoted by sales, per location |
| Ultimate | Contact | Quoted by sales, per location |
| Enterprise | Contact | A customised plan |

## What Bookodile charges

A base rate per location plus a rate per booking spot that actually took a booking that month, in country bands. Every feature and add-on is included at every price, there is no commission, and it is free at one location with up to two active spots and 40 bookings a month. The figures live on one page so they cannot drift: https://bookodile.com/pricing — and the model is explained at https://bookodile.com/docs/what-bookodile-costs.

## [Why businesses switch from Mindbody](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-mindbody#why-switch)

- **[No minimum term, and free until you outgrow it](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-mindbody#reason-no-minimum-term-and-free-until-you-outgrow-it)** — Mindbody has no free plan; Starter starts at €99 a month per location in the EU, the first 90 days cannot be cancelled, every term after that renews unless you give 30 days' notice, and fees are non-refundable. Bookodile is free at one location with up to two active booking spots and 40 bookings a month, and a paid account is monthly, with no minimum term and no cancellation fee.
- **[Customers book without an account](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-mindbody#reason-customers-book-without-an-account)** — Mindbody's consumer site prompts anyone who is not signed in to sign in before they can book, its widgets have customers register, and its app asks for a Mindbody account first. On Bookodile a customer types a name and an email or a phone number and is booked — no account, no app, no password — and a web portal shows their bookings if they want it.
- **[Every feature on every account](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-mindbody#reason-every-feature-on-every-account)** — Mindbody's Starter plan has no rooms and resources, no promo codes or packages, no text messaging, pre-set permissions that cannot be edited, and a shorter report list; those arrive at Accelerate, and reviews, automations and lead management at Ultimate. Bookodile has no plans: every account, including a free one, has every feature and every add-on.
- **[Two people, one visit, each blocked only for their part](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-mindbody#reason-two-people-one-visit-each-blocked-only-for-their-part)** — Mindbody has no linked service with a different team member per stage. Its add-ons are not separate appointments, do not extend the appointment and, online, need the same staff member, and Consumer Mode Book Multiple books independent same-day appointments only where support has switched it on, with appointment waitlists off. A Bookodile combo gives each stage its own team member, its own duration and its own room, back to back, in one booking with one confirmation.
- **[A different price per person, set by you](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-mindbody#reason-a-different-price-per-person-set-by-you)** — Mindbody's Per Staff Pricing needs a call to technical support to switch on, is designed for businesses that offer appointments only, and covers single sessions. In Bookodile a service is priced per team member or per category, such as Junior and Senior, from the settings, and the customer sees which is which.
- **[A waiting list that offers the slot itself](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-mindbody#reason-a-waiting-list-that-offers-the-slot-itself)** — Mindbody's appointment waitlist is a request list that only staff can confirm, joined on the consumer site only; the automatic First to Claim text needs the two-way text package from Accelerate, in nine countries that do not include Slovakia or the Czech Republic. Bookodile offers a cancellation automatically to whoever has waited longest for that service, with a three-hour countdown, included on every account.

### [Pricing](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-mindbody#group-pricing)

| | Bookodile | Mindbody |
|---|---|---|
| [A free plan that stays free](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-mindbody#free-tier) | **Yes** — Free at one location with up to two active booking spots and 40 bookings a month, every add-on included. Not a trial — a plan a small business stays on. | **No** — No free plan. The entry point is Starter at €99 a month per location in the EU, £89 in the UK, or Go at A$89 in Australia, and the site offers a demo rather than a free trial. [source](https://www.mindbodyonline.com/business/pricing) |
| [No commission on bookings](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-mindbody#no-commission) | **Yes** — No commission, no new-client fee, no per-booking charge. The bill is the subscription and nothing else. | **Partly** — No fee on bookings through your own website, widget or consumer site. A new client's first purchase through the Mindbody app costs 20% of the price, capped at $30 or 30 in local currency, once per client and not refunded if the sale is; the same 20% applies to Reserve with Google and Affiliate Network purchases, promoted intro offers and dynamic pricing. [source](https://support.mindbodyonline.com/s/article/217038307-What-are-Marketing-Platform-fees) |
| [Every feature included](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-mindbody#everything-included) | **Yes** — Every add-on is free and included — reminders, reviews, vouchers, the waiting list, multi-location, forecasting. Nothing is sold separately. | **No** — Sold separately: the branded app (included only in Ultimate Plus), Messenger[ai], AI Concierge on Accelerate, livestream at $49, $99 or $199 a month by attendance, on-demand video at $99 a month, the Insights dashboard, the Utility Messages text add-on that is mandatory in France, Germany, the Netherlands, Spain and Switzerland, Card Updater at $1, £1 or €1 per updated card, technical account management by the hour, premium implementation, data conversion, each extra location, and a bulk data export after cancellation. [source](https://support.mindbodyonline.com/s/article/203886078-Software-Level-Features-and-Options-Full-Breakdown) |
| [The same features on every plan](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-mindbody#no-plan-gating) | **Yes** — There are no plans and no tiers. Every account, including a free one, has every feature. | **No** — Starter has no rooms and resources, no promo codes or packages, no text messaging of any kind, pre-set staff permissions that cannot be edited, and a shorter report list. Accelerate adds those plus two-way text confirmations and no-show fee management; Ultimate adds automations, feedback and reviews, lead management and AI Concierge; Ultimate Plus adds the branded app and the Insights dashboard. [source](https://support.mindbodyonline.com/s/article/203886078-Software-Level-Features-and-Options-Full-Breakdown) |
| [No minimum term or cancellation fee](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-mindbody#no-contract) | **Yes** — Monthly, no minimum term, no cancellation fee. Paying yearly is optional and costs ten months. | **No** — A 90-day initial term, then 30-day terms that renew unless either side gives at least 30 days' notice, with longer fixed terms offered by plan and no exit before the end. Fees are non-refundable, ending early leaves every fee for the whole subscription term payable, and a locked price may rise at the next renewal. [source](https://www.mindbodyonline.com/company/legal/terms-of-service) |
| [Processes your customers' card payments](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-mindbody#payment-processing) | **No** — Bookodile does not take your customers' money. The payment-tracking add-on records what you were paid; payment stays between you and the customer. | **Yes** — Mindbody Payments, built on Stripe, in the EU, UK, Australia, Canada, New Zealand and the United States, with card readers in some countries and the option of a different processor. Published rates are 2.4% + €0.25 online and 1.75% in person in the EU, 1.99% + 6.50 CZK online in the Czech Republic and 2.19% + 20p online in the UK; United States and Australian rates are given by email only, and the rate depends on the plan. ### [Taking bookings](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-mindbody#group-booking)

| | Bookodile | Mindbody |
|---|---|---|
| [A hosted booking page](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-mindbody#hosted-booking-page) | **Yes** — bookodile.com/book/your-business, with your logo, colour, services and hours. One page per location. | **Yes** — Every account has a Mindbody consumer site with sign-in, appointment and class screens, plus a listing in the Mindbody app. Since August 2026 a customised website with booking built in is included on every plan, with one domain bought for you. [source](https://www.mindbodyonline.com/business/customized-websites) |
| [Booking on your own website](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-mindbody#embed-widget) | **Yes** — One snippet embeds the whole flow in any site — WordPress, Wix, Squarespace or hand-built — inline or behind a Book-now button. A QR code is generated for print. | **Yes** — Branded web tools — schedule, appointment, class list, pricing, registration and staff list widgets — pasted as a code snippet into Squarespace, Wix, WordPress or a Facebook page, on every plan including Starter. Checkout stays inside your site only in the US, Australia, New Zealand, Canada, the UK and the EU with a supported processor; elsewhere the customer is sent on to the consumer site. [source](https://www.mindbodyonline.com/business/branded-web-tools) |
| [Customers book without an account or an app](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-mindbody#guest-booking) | **Yes** — A name plus an email or a phone number. No account, no app, no password. A web portal shows customers every booking they hold, if they want it. | **No** — A customer account is required: the consumer site prompts anyone not signed in to sign in before booking, the widgets have customers register, and the Mindbody app asks for a Mindbody account to get started. The only guest flow documented is buying a gift card. [source](https://support.mindbodyonline.com/s/article/203261233-Booking-appointments-in-consumer-mode) |
| [Several services in one booking](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-mindbody#multi-service-booking) | **Partly** — Combo services chain stages into one booking, and the extras you configure are offered during booking, in more than one round. Customers do not pick arbitrary pairs from the catalogue — you decide which combinations exist. | **Partly** — Staff book several appointments for one customer in one go from the schedule sidebar. For customers, Consumer Mode Book Multiple books several same-day appointments at once on the consumer site — but the help centre says it is not available on all Mindbody sites, it is switched on by support, it disables appointment waitlists, and it is not in the widgets or the apps. [source](https://support.mindbodyonline.com/s/article/203261233-Booking-appointments-in-consumer-mode) |
| [Back-to-back services with different team members](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-mindbody#multi-staff-sequential) | **Yes** — Each stage of a combo can have its own team member, its own duration and its own room, booked back to back. Each person is blocked only for their own stage, never for the whole visit. Staff move the whole visit in one step, at times that fit every person in it. | **Partly** — No linked service with a different person per stage: add-ons are, in the help centre's words, not separate appointments, they do not extend the appointment's length, and online they need the same staff member for the main appointment and the add-on. Consumer Mode Book Multiple books independent same-day appointments, each with its own staff pick, so each person is blocked for their own appointment only — where support has enabled it, and with appointment waitlists off. [source](https://support.mindbodyonline.com/s/article/203253993-Appointments-Add-ons) |
| [Rooms, chairs and equipment as bookable resources](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-mindbody#resources) | **Yes** — Rooms, chairs and equipment with a capacity and their own hours. A service can need a resource alone, a person alone, or both, and capacity is enforced when the booking is made. | **Extra cost** — Rooms and Resources start at Accelerate; Starter has none. A room or piece of equipment can be required for an appointment or class and a room can be rented online on its own, but the help centre limits a room or resource to a single appointment and service provider, so a capacity above one means duplicate rooms, and assigned rooms are not available for add-ons. [source](https://support.mindbodyonline.com/s/article/203254103-Rooms-and-resources) |
| [Classes and events with a capacity](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-mindbody#group-classes) | **Yes** — Events with a capacity and a registration list for one-off things; a recurring class is a service on a resource with a capacity, so it fills up and stops. | **Yes** — Classes, courses and workshops with a maximum capacity, with online capacity controlled separately from total capacity, on every plan. Pick-a-Spot seat maps from Accelerate, and semi-private appointments through an appointment capacity. [source](https://www.mindbodyonline.com/business/scheduling) |
| [A different price per team member](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-mindbody#per-staff-pricing) | **Yes** — A service can be priced per team member, or per category such as Junior and Senior, and the customer sees which is which. | **Partly** — Per Staff Pricing lets different team members charge different amounts for the same service, but the help centre says you need to call technical support to start using it, that it is designed for businesses that offer appointments only, and that it covers single sessions, not per customer. [source](https://support.mindbodyonline.com/s/article/203254133-Appointments-Setting-up-appointments-with-Per-Staff-Pricing) |
| [A different duration per team member](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-mindbody#per-staff-duration) | **Yes** — A service can take a different time per team member. Leave someone blank and they use the service's own duration. | **Yes** — Each team member has their own booking length per appointment type in Staff Appointment Setup, and the permission to edit appointment lengths per staff is on every package. [source](https://support.mindbodyonline.com/s/article/203254123-Appointments-setup-assign-availability-and-pricing) |
| [Buffer time that blocks the calendar](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-mindbody#buffer-time) | **Yes** — A buffer after every service blocks the person and any resource it used. Enforced on the booking page and in the booking API. | **Partly** — No buffer field: the help centre's method is to lengthen the appointment type's booking time in Staff Appointment Setup, and the longer length is what the customer sees unless the email phrases are edited. Prep and finish time exists, but its article says it is not meant to add a buffer between appointments and can cause double booking if used that way. [source](https://support.mindbodyonline.com/s/article/203269783-How-can-I-add-a-buffer-time-between-Appointments) |
| [A waiting list with automatic offers](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-mindbody#waitlist) | **Yes** — A cancellation is offered automatically to whoever has waited longest for that service, with a three-hour countdown. Confirming books them straight in. | **Partly** — For classes, the first person on the waitlist is added automatically when a place opens, if they hold a valid pricing option. For appointments it is a request list that only staff can confirm, joined on the consumer site only; First to Claim, which texts everyone waiting when a slot frees, needs the two-way text package from Accelerate in the countries where Mindbody offers texting. [source](https://support.mindbodyonline.com/s/article/203258873-Appointments-Waitlists) |
| [Recurring bookings](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-mindbody#recurring-bookings) | **Partly** — Your team can create a repeating series from the calendar — weekly, every two weeks or monthly, up to 52 visits. Customers cannot book a recurring appointment themselves. | **Yes** — Customers book recurring appointments themselves on the consumer site, with an end date, and staff can create them. A recurring appointment cannot carry an add-on. [source](https://support.mindbodyonline.com/s/article/226467887-Booking-appointments-in-consumer-mode) |
| [Booking rules](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-mindbody#booking-rules) | **Yes** — Minimum notice, maximum advance days, slot interval, auto-confirm or approval, and a cancellation window — one set of rules per business. | **Yes** — Schedule windows per service category: how many days ahead booking opens and how many minutes before the start it closes. Cancellation windows per category, request-and-approve mode by turning off client-booked appointments, time increments, a first-available-only option, and a choice between unpaid and prepaid booking. [source](https://support.mindbodyonline.com/s/article/204244673-How-can-I-set-up-how-far-in-advance-my-clients-can-schedule-appointments) |
| [Customers cancel or reschedule themselves](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-mindbody#self-service-cancel-reschedule) | **Partly** — Customers cancel from the confirmation email, outside your cancellation window. Rescheduling is cancel and book again; there is no one-step move. | **Yes** — Rescheduling is a site-wide switch and cancellation is enabled per service category. Customers do both from My Schedule on the consumer site and in the apps, inside your cancellation window. [source](https://support.mindbodyonline.com/s/article/204244693-Why-can-t-my-clients-reschedule-their-appointments-online) |
| [Deposits and no-show protection](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-mindbody#deposits-no-show) | **No** — No card on file and no deposits, because Bookodile does not process payments. A no-show is recorded on the customer, not charged. | **Partly** — Full prepayment can be required, but for every service category at once — the help centre says it is not possible to require payment for some appointments only — and there is no partial deposit at booking. A card can be captured at booking on the consumer site, no-show and late-cancel fee management starts at Accelerate, and appointments turn to no-show automatically ten minutes after the start time. [source](https://support.mindbodyonline.com/s/article/216363828-How-do-I-allow-for-unpaid-appointment-booking-for-clients-and-members) |
| [Extras offered while booking](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-mindbody#upsells) | **Yes** — Extras are offered while booking, per service or per category, in up to several rounds, with an optional discount for adding them. | **Yes** — Appointment add-ons are offered on a customise-your-service screen when booking online. They need the version 2 appointment widget with Consumer Identity or a recent app version, must be offered by the same team member as the main appointment, and do not add time to the booking. [source](https://support.mindbodyonline.com/s/article/How-to-book-and-cancel-appointment-add-ons) |

### [What customers see](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-mindbody#group-customers)

| | Bookodile | Mindbody |
|---|---|---|
| [Listed in a consumer marketplace](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-mindbody#marketplace) | **No** — No marketplace. Your booking page carries only your business, and no competitor is shown beside you — which also means it sends you no new customers. | **Yes** — The Mindbody app lists your business beside others nearby for its 3 million-plus active users. Listing is free and opt-in, and a new client's first purchase through the app costs 20% of the price, capped at $30 or 30 in local currency. [source](https://www.mindbodyonline.com/business/pricing) |
| [An app for customers](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-mindbody#customer-app) | **No** — No consumer app. Customers book in the browser, and a web portal lists every booking they hold with any Bookodile business. | **Yes** — The Mindbody consumer app on iOS and Android, where customers find businesses, book, pay and manage their schedule. A branded app in your own name is included in Ultimate Plus or sold as an add-on to Accelerate and Ultimate. [source](https://www.mindbodyonline.com/business/mindbody-app) |
| [Booking page languages](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-mindbody#languages) | **Yes** — English, Slovak, Czech and Vietnamese, set per business. What your customers read and what you read in the dashboard are separate settings. | **Partly** — The website widgets come in 22 languages, including Czech, German, English and French, but not Slovak or Vietnamese, and the consumer cart takes one language per site. The consumer site's translation service covers eight languages, none of them Czech, and the consumer app is in English and Spanish. [source](https://support.mindbodyonline.com/s/article/Changing-widget-languages-branded-web-tools-formerly-Healcode) |
| [Your business's time zone, shown correctly](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-mindbody#timezones) | **Yes** — Every time is shown in the business's own zone, including on your dashboard. A customer in another zone sees both clocks before they confirm. | **Yes** — A time zone per location, set on the Locations screen, and every schedule renders in it. The Business app can toggle between the home location's zone and the phone's, and the consumer cart uses a 12-hour clock. [source](https://support.mindbodyonline.com/s/article/203254403-Business-Information-Screen) |
| [Branding](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-mindbody#branding) | **Partly** — Your logo, a second logo for dark backgrounds, a logo that links back to your own website, your brand colour with a contrast check, and a banner strip. No custom CSS and no custom domain. | **Partly** — Logo and header and text colours on the consumer site, fonts and colours on the widgets, and the included website can sit on your own domain. The help centre does not document custom CSS or removing Mindbody's own branding from the consumer site or app. [source](https://www.mindbodyonline.com/business/branded-web-tools) |
| [Dark mode on the booking page](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-mindbody#dark-mode) | **Yes** — The hosted page follows the customer's device. The embedded widget stays light on purpose, so it matches the website it sits in. | **Not published** — Mindbody publishes nothing about dark mode on the consumer site, the widgets or the branded app. The only dark-mode article covers the staff Business app, which follows the phone's setting. |
| [Book buttons on Google, Instagram and Facebook](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-mindbody#social-booking) | **No** — No Reserve with Google or Instagram integration. Your booking link goes in your Google profile, your bio or a post like any link. | **Partly** — Reserve with Google in the US, Canada, the UK, Ireland, Australia, Singapore and Hong Kong only; it requires Mindbody Payments and the Affiliate Network, a marketing network fee applies to each purchase, and it does not support waitlists. Booking on a Facebook page is on every package, and no Instagram booking button is documented. [source](https://support.mindbodyonline.com/s/article/Reserve-with-Google-FAQs) |

### [Running the business](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-mindbody#group-operations)

| | Bookodile | Mindbody |
|---|---|---|
| [Calendar](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-mindbody#calendar) | **Yes** — Day, week and month. Drag a booking to a new time or a different person, block out time, add a walk-in, filter by person or service. A visit with several services moves as one — dragged in the calendar, or from the booking dialog, which offers only the times that fit everyone in it. | **Yes** — An appointment schedule with a column per team member, a booking sidebar, drag and drop to reschedule, colour by appointment type and unavailable-time blocks, with separate room and class schedule screens. [source](https://support.mindbodyonline.com/s/article/203258893-Appointments-Booking-multiple-appointments-at-once) |
| [A native app for your team](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-mindbody#staff-app) | **No** — No native app. The dashboard is a web app that installs to a phone's home screen and works there. | **Yes** — Mindbody Business on iOS and Android, free for every subscriber: schedule, check-in, point of sale with Tap to Pay, customers, waitlists and waivers. Mindbody notes that some advanced setup may still be easier on desktop. [source](https://www.mindbodyonline.com/business/business-app) |
| [Several locations in one account](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-mindbody#multi-location) | **Yes** — Any number of locations in one account, each with its own team, hours, services and booking page, and a group dashboard that totals them. | **Yes** — Multi-location sites share data across locations, with cross-location memberships, reciprocity tracking and corporate, regional and location roles. Each location adds to the bill, and Mindbody notes that not all features are available in all regions or on all tiers. [source](https://www.mindbodyonline.com/business/multi-location-management) |
| [Roles and permissions](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-mindbody#roles-permissions) | **Yes** — Owner, Manager, Employee and Receptionist ready-made, or build a role and set each permission by hand — including whether someone sees only their own bookings, customers and figures. | **Extra cost** — Starter has pre-set permissions that cannot be edited. Permissions customised per staff group start at Accelerate — in the help centre's words, the Accelerate and Ultimate packages can be individually customised, while other packages contain only pre-set permissions. [source](https://support.mindbodyonline.com/s/article/Why-isn-t-this-feature-available) |
| [Reports](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-mindbody#reports) | **Yes** — Revenue, bookings, average value and cancellation rate; twelve months charted; top services; team ranked by revenue; per location or across all. Forecasting and revenue split are included add-ons. | **Yes** — Starter includes sales, daily closeout, membership, payroll, attendance and first- and last-visit reports, with export to CSV, PDF and Excel. Retention, sales forecast, commission, staff performance, appointment metrics and no-show reports start at Accelerate, sales funnel analytics at Ultimate, and the Insights dashboard is an extra. [source](https://support.mindbodyonline.com/s/article/207342557-Which-reports-do-I-have-access-to-Software-Levels-Full-Breakdown) |
| [A leaderboard for the team](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-mindbody#team-leaderboard) | **Yes** — A monthly competition on bookings or revenue that the whole team sees, with a winner per category if you want one, results frozen and emailed on the 1st, and a Hall of fame. Revenue amounts stay hidden from the team unless you show them. An included add-on. | **Partly** — The Insights app, a paid add-on, has a Leaderboard that ranks locations and team members on sales and supports goals and contests for staff — but Mindbody's article says only the owner or a general manager with the right user level can see those pages. Mindbody imports your data at onboarding; after cancellation, data is available for no more than 30 days and a bulk export costs extra. ## [Where Mindbody is stronger](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-mindbody#strengths)

- **[A marketplace that sends new customers](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-mindbody#strength-a-marketplace-that-sends-new-customers)** — The Mindbody app has more than 3 million active users, and Mindbody says a first purchase is made from a business found in the app more than 22,000 times a month; Reserve with Google and the ClassPass network sit beside it. Bookodile has no marketplace and no consumer app. Your booking page carries only your business, and new customers arrive through your own link.
- **[It takes the money, runs memberships and the till](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-mindbody#strength-it-takes-the-money-runs-memberships-and-the-till)** — Mindbody Payments in the EU, UK, Australia, Canada, New Zealand and the US, with card readers, direct debit, autopay memberships and contracts, no-show fees from Accelerate, a point of sale, inventory and payroll reports. Bookodile does not process payments, sells no memberships and has no point of sale; its payment-tracking add-on records what you were paid.
- **[Built for classes](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-mindbody#strength-built-for-classes)** — Capacity with online and total limits set separately, a class waitlist that adds the first person automatically, courses and enrolments, Pick-a-Spot seat maps from Accelerate, and livestream and on-demand video as paid extras. Bookodile runs events with a capacity, and a recurring class as a service on a resource with a capacity — no seat maps, no video.
- **[Native apps, and one in your own name](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-mindbody#strength-native-apps-and-one-in-your-own-name)** — A staff app on iOS and Android, a consumer app with the same reach, and a branded app on Ultimate Plus or as an add-on. Bookodile's dashboard is a web app that installs to a phone's home screen; customers book in the browser.
- **[Support that picks up the phone, and more languages](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-mindbody#strength-support-that-picks-up-the-phone-and-more-languages)** — One-to-one support, onboarding and training are included, with live chat and a call-back request, and the website widgets come in 22 languages including Czech and German. Bookodile's support is by email, and its booking page has four languages — two of them, Slovak and Vietnamese, that Mindbody does not offer.

## Notes for anyone selling Bookodile

These are the claims not to make against Mindbody, because they are not true:

- Do not say Mindbody has no dark mode on its booking surfaces. Nothing is published either way; only the staff app's dark mode is documented.
- Do not quote United States prices for Mindbody — the $99 to $159 Starter, $259 to $279 Accelerate, $499 Ultimate or $699 Ultimate Plus figures — or a price for the branded app. They are third-party reports; Mindbody's site does not publish them. Quote the EU, UK and Australian prices on its own pages.
- Do not quote United States card rates for Mindbody Payments. The help centre says to email for them; the 2.99% and 3.60% figures come from third parties.
- Do not say Mindbody requires a 24-month contract. Its terms describe a 90-day initial term followed by 30-day terms, and its blog describes fixed 12, 24 or 36-month terms as an option by plan, not a requirement.
- Do not say Mindbody has no free trial as a fact. Its own site says nothing about one, and review sites disagree with each other. Say that none is published.
- Do not say Mindbody takes a commission on every booking. The 20% fee applies to a new client's first purchase through the Mindbody app or the Affiliate Network, once per client; bookings through your own site carry no fee.
- Do not say Mindbody cannot book two services with two people. Consumer Mode Book Multiple does, as independent appointments, where support has enabled it. Say what the help centre says about it and no more.
- Do not claim Bookodile is cheaper for a large team at one location. Mindbody's price is per location with unlimited users; Bookodile's follows active booking spots. Put both bills side by side for the real headcount.
- Do not repeat review-site complaints about price rises, cancellation or support as facts about the product.
- Do not imply Bookodile takes card payments, deposits, no-show fees or memberships. Mindbody does; Bookodile does not.

## [Common questions](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-mindbody#faq)

**[Is Mindbody free?](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-mindbody#faq-is-mindbody-free)**

No. There is no free plan and no free trial on Mindbody's site. Starter starts at €99 a month per location in the EU and £89 in the UK, Australia's entry plan, Go, is A$89, and the first 90 days are a minimum term. Bookodile is free at one location with up to two active booking spots and 40 bookings a month, with every add-on included, for as long as that holds.

**[Can I move my customers from Mindbody to Bookodile?](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-mindbody#faq-can-i-move-my-customers-from-mindbody-to-bookodile)**

Mindbody's client directory has no built-in export; the help centre suggests copying and pasting up to 1,000 rows at a time or running the mailing-lists report, and after you cancel your data is available for no more than 30 days, with a bulk export at extra cost. Bookodile does not yet import a customer file. Customers are created the first time they book, so the list rebuilds itself as regulars return, and your team can add anyone by hand.

**[Does Bookodile take payments, deposits and memberships like Mindbody?](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-mindbody#faq-does-bookodile-take-payments-deposits-and-memberships-like-mindbody)**

No. Bookodile does not process payments, hold a card on file, take deposits, charge no-show fees or sell memberships. Payment stays between you and your customer, however you already handle it, and the payment-tracking add-on records what arrived.

**[Which languages can my customers book in?](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-mindbody#faq-which-languages-can-my-customers-book-in)**

Mindbody's website widgets come in 22 languages, including Czech and German, but not Slovak or Vietnamese, and its consumer app is in English and Spanish. Bookodile offers English, Slovak, Czech and Vietnamese, set per business, separately from the language you read your dashboard in.

**[What happens to my Mindbody app listing and Reserve with Google?](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-mindbody#faq-what-happens-to-my-mindbody-app-listing-and-reserve-with-google)**

Both are Mindbody channels and end with the subscription. Bookodile has no marketplace and no Reserve with Google integration; your booking link goes into your Google Business profile, your bio and your website like any other link, and a QR code is generated for print. Customers who found you through the Mindbody app will need your new link.

**[How does the pricing compare for a business with three people?](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-mindbody#faq-how-does-the-pricing-compare-for-a-business-with-three-people)**

On Mindbody, three people at one location cost the same as one: the price is per location with unlimited users, so in the EU that is Starter from €99 a month — without rooms, promo codes, text messages or editable permissions. On Bookodile, three people who each take bookings at the same time are three booking spots, which is above the free tier; the figure for your country is on the pricing page. If only two of them can work at once, that is two spots.

## Who Mindbody is for

Mindbody is an all-in-one platform for fitness, wellness and beauty
businesses, and for the franchises above them. Its navigation runs from gyms
and yoga studios through spas to salons and barbershops, and the product is
built for the whole business rather than the diary: classes with capacity,
memberships with autopay, a point of sale, inventory, payroll, integrated
payments, a marketing suite, and a consumer app with more than 3 million active
users that lists you beside your neighbours. It is United States first, but it
is sold in euros across the EU, with Mindbody Payments available in Slovakia
and the Czech Republic.

Bookodile is a booking system, not a back office. It is for a business where
the people are not interchangeable, where a room or a piece of equipment is the
real limit on what can be taken, where one visit can involve two people, and
where nobody wants a contract, a plan ladder or a customer account standing
between a customer and a booking. Those are the rows where the two products
differ most.

## The pricing model, in practice

Mindbody charges per location per month with unlimited users, so adding people
is free and adding a location is not. In the EU, Starter starts at €99 a month
per location; the UK page says £89; Australia sells Go, Core and Growth at
A$89, A$279 and A$369. Accelerate and Ultimate are quoted by sales, the US
price list is not on the site, and there is no free plan and no published free
trial.

The contract is the part to read before the price. The terms set a 90-day
initial term, then 30-day terms that renew unless either side gives 30 days'
notice; Mindbody's own blog describes fixed terms of 12, 24 or 36 months as an
option by plan. Fees are non-refundable, ending early leaves the whole term
payable, and a locked price can rise at the next renewal. A new client's first
purchase through the Mindbody app costs a further 20%, capped at 30 in local
currency, and the plan ladder is real: Starter has no rooms, no promo codes,
no text messages and no editable permissions.

Bookodile charges per location plus per booking spot that actually took a
booking that month, with every feature and add-on included at every price, and
it is free at one location with up to two active spots and 40 bookings a month.
There is no minimum term. The figures for your country are on
[the pricing page](/pricing) and the model is explained in
[What Bookodile costs](/docs/what-bookodile-costs).

Which is cheaper depends on shape. A single location with many people who all
take bookings at once may pay less on Mindbody's flat per-location price than
on a per-spot one; a small business, or one with several locations, usually
will not. Put the two bills side by side for your real headcount, remembering
that the Mindbody bill is Starter's, which is missing the rows above.

## Two services, two people

This is the row worth reading Mindbody's own articles on: it has three
mechanisms near it, and none is quite it.

The first is appointment add-ons. An add-on attaches a second service to one
appointment, and the help centre is precise about what that means: add-ons are
not separate appointments, they enhance the primary appointment without
extending its length, and a customer can add one online only when the same
staff member offers the main appointment and the add-on.

The second is Consumer Mode Book Multiple. On the consumer site, a signed-in
customer can add several appointment types, each with any staff or a named team
member, and book them all at once for the same day. Because each is an
independent appointment, each team member is blocked only for their own — the
closest Mindbody comes to the Bookodile behaviour. The same article lists the
conditions: the feature is not available on all Mindbody sites and is switched
on by support; it cannot be used with appointment waitlists, direct staff links
or booking for someone else; and it lives on the consumer site, not in the
widgets or the apps. The article does not say whether the second appointment
is placed to start when the first ends. This page does not guess.

The third, prep and finish time, frees the middle of a long service so that
the same team member can take a short appointment during it; the help centre
says it is not meant to add a buffer between appointments.

In Bookodile the same thing is a combo service: one stage with one person and a
second with another, as parts of one booking. Each stage carries its own team
member, its own duration and its own room if it needs one, and each person is
blocked only for their stage. The customer books once and receives one
confirmation.

## Switching from Mindbody

- **The contract first.** Check your order form for the term you are in; the
help centre says cancellation needs at least 30 days' notice, is not
available in the first 90 days, and is made by the account's Data Owner.
- **Customers.** Mindbody's client directory has no built-in export; copy and
paste up to 1,000 rows at a time, or run the mailing-lists report, before
you cancel — afterwards the data is available for no more than 30 days and a
bulk export costs extra. Bookodile has no import tool yet; customers are
created the first time they book.
- **Bookings.** Bookodile does not import them; run both side by side until
the Mindbody schedule empties, then switch the link.
- **Memberships, packages and gift cards.** These carry balances. Bookodile has
gift vouchers and discount codes but no memberships or packages, so any
outstanding balance needs its own plan.
- **Your booking link, the Mindbody app and Reserve with Google.** The listing
  and the Google integration end with the subscription. Bookodile has neither;
every place the old link lives — Google Business profile, bio, website —
gets the new one, and a QR code is generated for the counter.
- **Payments.** If you take payments, deposits or autopay through Mindbody,
you will need a separate way to do that. Bookodile records payments; it does
  not take them.

## Where each one fits

Choose Mindbody if you sell memberships and classes, want payments, a point of
sale and payroll in one system, want a consumer app and a marketplace sending
new customers, want a branded app of your own, or need a booking page in a
language Bookodile does not have.

Choose Bookodile if you want a booking system with no plan ladder, no minimum
term and a free tier, if your customers should book without an account, if your
people are priced differently, if a room or a piece of equipment limits what
you can take, if one visit can involve two people, or if your customers read
Slovak or Vietnamese.
