# Bookodile vs GoCheckin

> GoCheckin is a walk-in check-in kiosk with text marketing and review requests, sold beside a separate online-booking product and a point of sale, all priced in US dollars. Bookodile is one booking system with every feature included, in four languages, billed per location and per booking spot.

## [What GoCheckin charges](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-gocheckin#pricing)

Three products, three subscriptions, each with monthly tiers and a one-time setup fee, all in US dollars with no other currency or region published. Go Check In, the kiosk, is $59, $99 or $199 a month by email and text quota, plus a $100 setup fee. Go Booking, the online-booking product, is $20, $40 or $99 a month by team size — five, twenty or unlimited, with extra team members at $10 per block of five — plus its own $100 setup fee; its tiers are on gocheckin.net/booking. Go POS is $50, $99 or $149 a month plus $200 to set up, on fastboy.com. Texts beyond a plan's quota are sold in bundles. There is no free plan. The vendor's pages disagree on the trial — gocheckin.net offers Go Booking for 14 days without a card, fastboy.com offers Go Booking and Go Check In for 30 days — and fastboy.com's Go Check In page says 'Everything for $99/month. No per-SMS fees, no limits' directly above a table of three tiers with text quotas and paid text bundles. The old gocheckin.net/pricing address now returns a 404; the check-in prices sit on the home page.

## What Bookodile charges

A base rate per location plus a rate per booking spot that actually took a booking that month, in country bands. Every feature and add-on is included at every price, there is no commission, and it is free at one location with up to two active spots and 40 bookings a month. The figures live on one page so they cannot drift: https://bookodile.com/pricing — and the model is explained at https://bookodile.com/docs/what-bookodile-costs.

## [Why businesses switch from GoCheckin](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-gocheckin#why-switch)

- **[Your customers book in their own language, with their own phone number](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-gocheckin#reason-your-customers-book-in-their-own-language-with-their-own-phone-number)** — GoCheckin's booking page is in English with no language switch, its phone field takes a ten-digit North American number, and every price it publishes is in US dollars. Bookodile's booking page is in English, Slovak, Czech or Vietnamese, set per business and separately from the language you read your dashboard in, and every time is shown in your business's own zone.
- **[One product and one bill, with nothing to buy on top](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-gocheckin#reason-one-product-and-one-bill-with-nothing-to-buy-on-top)** — GoCheckin is three subscriptions — check-in, online booking and point of sale — each with a setup fee, plus text bundles when a plan's quota runs out and extra team members in blocks of five. Bookodile is one subscription per location plus the booking spots that actually took a booking that month; every add-on is included, there is no setup fee and no per-booking charge, and one location with up to two active spots and 40 bookings a month is free.
- **[A price and a time per person, rooms with a capacity, and a buffer — written down](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-gocheckin#reason-a-price-and-a-time-per-person-rooms-with-a-capacity-and-a-buffer-written-down)** — GoCheckin's help centre holds three articles on its booking product, and its product page says 'per-staff calendars, services with durations'; it publishes nothing on a different price or duration per team member, on buffer time, or on rooms and equipment as bookable resources. Bookodile prices and times a service per team member or per category, books rooms and equipment with a capacity and their own hours, and blocks a buffer after every service.
- **[A waiting list that fills a cancellation by itself](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-gocheckin#reason-a-waiting-list-that-fills-a-cancellation-by-itself)** — Go Check In's queue is for people already at the door: they check in on a tablet, a ticket prints, and the point of sale shows who is waiting. Nothing published offers a cancelled appointment to someone who wanted that slot. Bookodile offers a cancellation automatically to whoever has waited longest for that service, with a three-hour countdown, and confirming books them straight in.
- **[Reminders that are included, not metered](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-gocheckin#reason-reminders-that-are-included-not-metered)** — Go Booking's confirmations and reminders draw on a monthly text quota — 1,000 on Basic, 2,000 on Deluxe — and extra texts are bought in bundles. Bookodile sends confirmations, reminders the day before and two hours before, cancellations and follow-ups by email at every price, in your business's language; text messages are built but not switched on.
- **[Roles you define, not passcodes you hand out](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-gocheckin#reason-roles-you-define-not-passcodes-you-hand-out)** — GoCheckin documents per-person toggles, staff codes and passcodes for the cash drawer, gift cards, promotions and customer look-up, most of them in the point of sale, and no custom role. Bookodile has Owner, Manager, Employee and Receptionist ready-made, or a role you build permission by permission — including whether someone sees only their own bookings, customers and figures.

### [Pricing](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-gocheckin#group-pricing)

|---|---|---|
| [A free plan that stays free](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-gocheckin#free-tier) | **Yes** — Free at one location with up to two active booking spots and 40 bookings a month, every add-on included. Not a trial — a plan a small business stays on. | **No** — No free plan on gocheckin.net or fastboy.com. The cheapest way in is Go Booking Basic at $20 a month plus a $100 setup fee; Go Check In starts at $59 a month plus $100. [source](https://gocheckin.net/booking) |
| [No commission on bookings](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-gocheckin#no-commission) | **Yes** — No commission, no new-client fee, no per-booking charge. The bill is the subscription and nothing else. | **Yes** — 'No per-booking fees, no hidden charges', and every Go Booking plan includes unlimited bookings. There is no marketplace, so no new-client fee. [source](https://fastboy.com/services/go-booking) |
| [Every feature included](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-gocheckin#everything-included) | **Yes** — Every add-on is free and included — reminders, reviews, vouchers, the waiting list, multi-location, forecasting. Nothing is sold separately. | **No** — Check-in, online booking and point of sale are three subscriptions with three setup fees. Texts beyond a plan's quota are sold in bundles, extra team members on Go Booking in blocks of five, and the ticket printer and digital signage are bought separately. [source](https://fastboy.com/pricing) |
| [The same features on every plan](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-gocheckin#no-plan-gating) | **Yes** — There are no plans and no tiers. Every account, including a free one, has every feature. | **No** — Go Booking caps team members at five on Basic and twenty on Deluxe, and reminder texts at 1,000 and 2,000 a month; only Premium is unlimited. On Go Check In, unlimited survey, birthday and return-reminder texts come only with Advanced at $199, and Go POS keeps payroll and time keeping off its Basic plan. [source](https://gocheckin.net/booking) |
| [No minimum term or cancellation fee](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-gocheckin#no-contract) | **Yes** — Monthly, no minimum term, no cancellation fee. Paying yearly is optional and costs ten months. | **Partly** — Monthly, 'cancel anytime', with no minimum term stated for the software. Monthly fees are non-refundable, returned hardware carries a restocking fee of 20 to 50 percent, and the card-processing programmes sold alongside have 12- or 24-month minimums with a 30 percent early-cancellation charge. [source](https://fastboy.com/return-refund-policy) |
| [Processes your customers' card payments](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-gocheckin#payment-processing) | **No** — Bookodile does not take your customers' money. The payment-tracking add-on records what you were paid; payment stays between you and the customer. | **Yes** — Deposits, partial or full payment at booking, and cards on file through Stripe or Bamboo Pay on Go Booking; payment at the till through Go POS. No card rate is published on any vendor page. [source](https://gocheckin.net/booking) |

### [Taking bookings](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-gocheckin#group-booking)

| | Bookodile | GoCheckin |
|---|---|---|
| [A hosted booking page](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-gocheckin#hosted-booking-page) | **Yes** — bookodile.com/book/your-business, with your logo, colour, services and hours. One page per location. | **Yes** — Each business has a page on booking.gocheckin.net, reached by store number, and since 2023 a hosted landing page with name, address, hours, service menu and photos for a business without a website. [source](https://support.gocheckin.net/article/landing-page-gocheckin) |
| [Booking on your own website](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-gocheckin#embed-widget) | **Yes** — One snippet embeds the whole flow in any site — WordPress, Wix, Squarespace or hand-built — inline or behind a Book-now button. A QR code is generated for print. | **Partly** — The product page promises a 'Book Now' button for your own website. The help centre publishes no embed instructions — no iframe, no script — so how the button is placed, and whether the flow can sit inside your page, is not published. [source](https://gocheckin.net/booking) |
| [Customers book without an account or an app](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-gocheckin#guest-booking) | **Yes** — A name plus an email or a phone number. No account, no app, no password. A web portal shows customers every booking they hold, if they want it. | **Yes** — The booking page is a public web page: the customer picks a service and a time, then leaves a name and a phone number. No account and no app. The phone field takes a ten-digit North American number. [source](https://booking.gocheckin.net/5154/appointment/book) |
| [Several services in one booking](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-gocheckin#multi-service-booking) | **Partly** — Combo services chain stages into one booking, and the extras you configure are offered during booking, in more than one round. Customers do not pick arbitrary pairs from the catalogue — you decide which combinations exist. | **Not published** — The public booking page has a services step. Whether more than one service can go into a single booking is stated neither on the product page nor in the help centre's three Go Booking articles. |
| [Back-to-back services with different team members](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-gocheckin#multi-staff-sequential) | **Yes** — Each stage of a combo can have its own team member, its own duration and its own room, booked back to back. Each person is blocked only for their own stage, never for the whole visit. Staff move the whole visit in one step, at times that fit every person in it. | **Not published** — Nothing published describes how a booking with two team members is scheduled — whether the services run back to back and whether each person is blocked only for their own part. The product page says 'per-staff calendars, services with durations' and 'auto-assign staff', and stops there. |
| [Rooms, chairs and equipment as bookable resources](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-gocheckin#resources) | **Yes** — Rooms, chairs and equipment with a capacity and their own hours. A service can need a resource alone, a person alone, or both, and capacity is enforced when the booking is made. | **Not published** — The booking product page lists 'multi-resource (rooms, tables, staff)' in a section written for hotels and restaurants. No help-centre article covers rooms or equipment, capacity, or booking a resource without a person. |
| [Classes and events with a capacity](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-gocheckin#group-classes) | **Yes** — Events with a capacity and a registration list for one-off things; a recurring class is a service on a resource with a capacity, so it fills up and stops. | **Not published** — 'Recurring sessions, packages, member sign-in' appears on the product page in a line aimed at studios. No article documents a class with a capacity or an event. |
| [A different price per team member](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-gocheckin#per-staff-pricing) | **Yes** — A service can be priced per team member, or per category such as Junior and Senior, and the customer sees which is which. | **Not published** — Not mentioned on any vendor page or help-centre article. What is documented per team member is a commission and supply share in Go POS, which is payroll, not the customer's price. |
| [A different duration per team member](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-gocheckin#per-staff-duration) | **Yes** — A service can take a different time per team member. Leave someone blank and they use the service's own duration. | **Not published** — The product page says 'services with durations', and the copy-appointment article lets staff edit the duration of one appointment. A duration per team member is not mentioned anywhere. |
| [Buffer time that blocks the calendar](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-gocheckin#buffer-time) | **Yes** — A buffer after every service blocks the person and any resource it used. Enforced on the booking page and in the booking API. | **Not published** — Not mentioned on any vendor page or in the help centre. |
| [A waiting list with automatic offers](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-gocheckin#waitlist) | **Yes** — A cancellation is offered automatically to whoever has waited longest for that service, with a three-hour countdown. Confirming books them straight in. | **Partly** — Go Check In is a walk-in queue, not a waiting list for appointments: customers check in on a tablet by phone number or QR code, a ticket prints, and the point of sale shows who is waiting. No automatic offer of a cancelled appointment to a waiting customer is published. [source](https://gocheckin.net) |
| [Recurring bookings](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-gocheckin#recurring-bookings) | **Partly** — Your team can create a repeating series from the calendar — weekly, every two weeks or monthly, up to 52 visits. Customers cannot book a recurring appointment themselves. | **Partly** — What is documented is a copy tool: staff duplicate an existing appointment and change its date, time, service, duration or team member, one visit at a time. A repeating series set once is not documented beyond a 'recurring sessions' line aimed at studios. [source](https://support.gocheckin.net/article/re-booking-va-copy-appointment-2) |
| [Booking rules](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-gocheckin#booking-rules) | **Yes** — Minimum notice, maximum advance days, slot interval, auto-confirm or approval, and a cancellation window — one set of rules per business. | **Partly** — Auto-confirm or approval from the business's app, blocking specific time slots, blocking a named customer from booking online, and start times set to the minute. Minimum notice, maximum advance and the slot interval are not published. [source](https://gocheckin.net/booking) |
| [Customers cancel or reschedule themselves](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-gocheckin#self-service-cancel-reschedule) | **Partly** — Customers cancel from the confirmation email, outside your cancellation window. Rescheduling is cancel and book again; there is no one-step move. | **Partly** — Customers 'confirm or cancel directly from the text'. Rescheduling by the customer is not described; the product page puts rescheduling in the business's app. [source](https://fastboy.com/services/go-booking) |
| [Deposits and no-show protection](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-gocheckin#deposits-no-show) | **No** — No card on file and no deposits, because Bookodile does not process payments. A no-show is recorded on the customer, not charged. | **Yes** — 'Bookings with deposit' on every Go Booking plan: the customer's card is taken at booking, the owner charges the deposit from the dashboard, ticks a no-show box, and refunds in full, in part or more than once. The vendor's product page adds 'charge cancellation fees automatically'. [source](https://support.gocheckin.net/article/deposit) |
| [Extras offered while booking](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-gocheckin#upsells) | **Yes** — Extras are offered while booking, per service or per category, in up to several rounds, with an optional discount for adding them. | **Not published** — No add-on or suggested-service step is documented for the booking page. Go POS has a discount item at checkout, which is a different thing. |

### [What customers see](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-gocheckin#group-customers)

| | Bookodile | GoCheckin |
|---|---|---|
| [Listed in a consumer marketplace](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-gocheckin#marketplace) | **No** — No marketplace. Your booking page carries only your business, and no competitor is shown beside you — which also means it sends you no new customers. | **No** — No consumer directory. booking.gocheckin.net asks for a store number; each business has its own page, and nothing lists businesses side by side. [source](https://booking.gocheckin.net/) |
| [An app for customers](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-gocheckin#customer-app) | **No** — No consumer app. Customers book in the browser, and a web portal lists every booking they hold with any Bookodile business. | **No** — The vendor's App Store and Google Play catalogues hold business apps only — GCI Business, GCI App Platform, CRM by Fastboy. The 'native mobile app' on the booking product page is for the business: 'approve, reschedule, and message guests from your phone'. [source](https://play.google.com/store/apps/developer?id=Fastboy+Companies) |
| [Booking page languages](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-gocheckin#languages) | **Yes** — English, Slovak, Czech and Vietnamese, set per business. What your customers read and what you read in the dashboard are separate settings. | **Partly** — The customer's booking page is in English, with no language switch. The only other language documented is a bilingual English–Vietnamese display in the staff-facing Go POS app. No other booking-page language is published. [source](https://booking.gocheckin.net/5154/appointment/book) |
| [Your business's time zone, shown correctly](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-gocheckin#timezones) | **Yes** — Every time is shown in the business's own zone, including on your dashboard. A customer in another zone sees both clocks before they confirm. | **Partly** — Times on the booking page are shown with the business's zone — a store page labels a slot 'US Central'. Nothing is published about zones outside North America, and the phone field takes a ten-digit North American number. [source](https://booking.gocheckin.net/5154/appointment/book) |
| [Branding](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-gocheckin#branding) | **Partly** — Your logo, a second logo for dark backgrounds, a logo that links back to your own website, your brand colour with a contrast check, and a banner strip. No custom CSS and no custom domain. | **Not published** — The hosted landing page takes a name, address, phone, hours, menu and photos. A logo, colours, custom CSS, a custom domain and removing the vendor's name are not documented. |
| [Dark mode on the booking page](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-gocheckin#dark-mode) | **Yes** — The hosted page follows the customer's device. The embedded widget stays light on purpose, so it matches the website it sits in. | **Not published** — Not mentioned on any vendor page or in the help centre. |
| [Book buttons on Google, Instagram and Facebook](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-gocheckin#social-booking) | **No** — No Reserve with Google or Instagram integration. Your booking link goes in your Google profile, your bio or a post like any link. | **Partly** — A 'Book Now' button 'on your Google profile and Facebook page' and 'syncs to Google + Facebook' are claimed on the product page. Reserve with Google is never named, the mechanism is not documented, and Instagram is not mentioned. [source](https://gocheckin.net/booking) |

### [Running the business](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-gocheckin#group-operations)

| | Bookodile | GoCheckin |
|---|---|---|
| [Calendar](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-gocheckin#calendar) | **Yes** — Day, week and month. Drag a booking to a new time or a different person, block out time, add a walk-in, filter by person or service. A visit with several services moves as one — dragged in the calendar, or from the booking dialog, which offers only the times that fit everyone in it. | **Yes** — Day, three-day, week and month views, drag and drop to reschedule with conflicts flagged in red, a calendar per team member, colour by booking channel, hidden inactive team members, blocked time slots, and print or export to PDF and CSV. [source](https://gocheckin.net/booking) |
| [A native app for your team](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-gocheckin#staff-app) | **No** — No native app. The dashboard is a web app that installs to a phone's home screen and works there. | **Yes** — GCI Business on iOS and Android, for approving, rescheduling and messaging from a phone. The store listing notes it is for the vendor's clients only. [source](https://apps.apple.com/us/app/gci-business/id1672487932) |
| [Several locations in one account](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-gocheckin#multi-location) | **Yes** — Any number of locations in one account, each with its own team, hours, services and booking page, and a group dashboard that totals them. | **Partly** — Go POS lists 'multi-location support', and the vendor quotes a customer running Go Check In in four locations. Whether the check-in and booking products are priced per location, and how locations are grouped, is not published. [source](https://fastboy.com/services/go-pos) |
| [Roles and permissions](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-gocheckin#roles-permissions) | **Yes** — Owner, Manager, Employee and Receptionist ready-made, or build a role and set each permission by hand — including whether someone sees only their own bookings, customers and figures. | **Partly** — Per-person permission toggles such as the cash drawer, staff codes, an admin passcode, passcodes for gift cards, promotions and customer look-up, and a one-time code to export or delete customers. No custom role builder is documented, and the toggles that are sit in the point of sale. [source](https://support.gocheckin.net/article/phan-quyn-permission-staff-code-khi-dung-cash-drawer-3) |
| [Reports](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-gocheckin#reports) | **Yes** — Revenue, bookings, average value and cancellation rate; twelve months charted; top services; team ranked by revenue; per location or across all. Forecasting and revenue split are included add-ons. | **Yes** — Go Booking reports 'utilization, no-shows, channel ROI, and lifetime value'; Go Check In reports daily visits, retention, campaign open rates, review performance and loyalty engagement; Go POS adds income per team member and payroll. No forecast is published. [source](https://gocheckin.net/booking) |
| [A leaderboard for the team](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-gocheckin#team-leaderboard) | **Yes** — A monthly competition on bookings or revenue that the whole team sees, with a winner per category if you want one, results frozen and emailed on the 1st, and a Hall of fame. Revenue amounts stay hidden from the team unless you show them. An included add-on. | **Partly** — Go POS, a separate subscription, offers performance reports by team member to see who brings in the most revenue, and lists a 'Staff Rating' feature from its Deluxe plan. It is written for the owner; nothing says team members see a ranking. Turn counting orders walk-ins rather than ranking anyone. [source](https://fastboy.com/services/go-pos) |
| [Point of sale, stock and payroll](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-gocheckin#pos-inventory-payroll) | **No** — No point of sale, no stock, no payroll. A walk-in is a booking. | **Extra cost** — Go POS is a separate subscription at $50, $99 or $149 a month plus a $200 setup fee: QR-ticket checkout, inventory with low-stock alerts, commission splits, turn counting, tips, gift cards and PAX or Bamboo terminals. Payroll and time keeping start on the $99 Deluxe plan. [source](https://fastboy.com/services/go-pos) |
| [Confirmations and reminders](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-gocheckin#reminders) | **Partly** — Email confirmations, reminders the day before and two hours before, cancellations and follow-ups — all included, in your business's language. Text messages are built but not switched on. | **Partly** — A confirmation by text and email at booking, then reminders 24 hours and one hour before — the fastboy.com page says two hours — drawn from the plan's monthly quota of 1,000, 2,000 or unlimited texts. Extra texts cost $62.50 per 2,500, $100 per 5,000 or $180 per 10,000. [source](https://gocheckin.net/booking) |
| [Email and text campaigns](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-gocheckin#marketing-campaigns) | **Partly** — No bulk email or text campaigns. An automated win-back sequence for customers who drift away, and promotions shown on the booking page, are included add-ons. | **Extra cost** — Campaigns live in Go Check In, a separate subscription from the booking product: segments (VIP, new, regular, at risk), automatic return reminders after 30, 60 and 90 days, birthday texts and promotions. The Standard plan at $99 includes 5,000 emails and 2,000 texts for promotions, Advanced 10,000 and 5,000; beyond that, bundles. [source](https://gocheckin.net/#pricing) |
| [Reviews](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-gocheckin#reviews) | **Yes** — Collect a review after each visit, publish on your booking page when you choose, reply in public or privately, and ask happy customers for a Google review in the same email. | **Extra cost** — In Go Check In, a separate subscription from the booking product: after a visit a text survey asks for feedback, happy customers are sent to Google and bad reviews are 'handled privately'; a Review Assistant holds reply templates, auto-replies to Google reviews and alerts on a bad one. ## [Where GoCheckin is stronger](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-gocheckin#strengths)

- **[A check-in kiosk for people who walk in](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-gocheckin#strength-a-check-in-kiosk-for-people-who-walk-in)** — Go Check In is a tablet at the door: customers check in by phone number or QR code, a ticket prints, turns are counted, and the point of sale shows who is waiting — with the vendor's own check-in devices and printers. Bookodile has no kiosk; a walk-in is a booking your team adds from the calendar.
- **[Review requests by text, with bad reviews kept private](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-gocheckin#strength-review-requests-by-text-with-bad-reviews-kept-private)** — After a visit a text survey asks how it went; happy customers are sent to Google, unhappy ones are handled privately, and a Review Assistant auto-replies to Google reviews and alerts you to a bad one. Bookodile asks for a review by email after each visit, publishes it on your booking page when you choose, lets you reply in public or privately, and asks happy customers for a Google review in the same email — it does not post to Google for you.
- **[Deposits, cards on file and cancellation fees](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-gocheckin#strength-deposits-cards-on-file-and-cancellation-fees)** — Go Booking takes a deposit or full payment at booking through Stripe or Bamboo Pay, keeps the card, and lets the owner charge a no-show or refund from the dashboard. Bookodile does not process payments or hold a card; it records what you were paid.
- **[Text marketing and a point of sale, from one vendor](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-gocheckin#strength-text-marketing-and-a-point-of-sale-from-one-vendor)** — Automatic return reminders after 30, 60 and 90 days, birthday texts and promotions by segment on a US and Canadian short code, plus Go POS with payroll, inventory, turn counting, tips and gift cards. Bookodile has no text campaigns and no point of sale; its automated win-back sequence goes by email, promotions appear on the booking page, and a walk-in is a booking.
- **[A native app for the team, and a Vietnamese-speaking vendor](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-gocheckin#strength-a-native-app-for-the-team-and-a-vietnamese-speaking-vendor)** — GCI Business is a native iOS and Android app for approving, rescheduling and messaging, and the help centre, tutorials and point-of-sale display are in Vietnamese as well as English. Bookodile's dashboard is a web app that installs to a phone's home screen; its booking page and dashboard are available in Vietnamese, and its documentation is English only.

## Notes for anyone selling Bookodile

These are the claims not to make against GoCheckin, because they are not true:

- Do not say GoCheckin cannot put several services, or two team members, into one booking. Its help centre has three articles on the booking product and none describes it — undocumented, not absent.
- Do not say it has no rooms or equipment as resources, no classes, no buffer time, and no price or duration per team member. None of these is published either way; its product page even lists 'multi-resource' in a section written for hotels and restaurants.
- Do not say it has no waiting list. Go Check In is a walk-in queue with a kiosk and a ticket printer. What is not published is an automatic offer of a cancelled appointment.
- Do not say it lacks calendar sync, intake forms, branding controls or a dark booking page. Not published, which is not the same as missing.
- Do not quote a card-processing rate. None is published on any vendor page; deposits go through Stripe or Bamboo Pay at rates GoCheckin does not state.
- Do not say it charges a commission or has no trial. It says 'no per-booking fees', and its pages offer a trial of 14 or 30 days depending on which page you read.
- Do not repeat a software directory's line that GoCheckin has a free version. Its own pricing pages list none; say that and stop.
- Do not claim Bookodile is cheaper for a team of five without checking the pricing page. Go Booking's Basic plan covers five team members for $20 a month plus a $100 setup fee.
- Do not say it is unavailable outside the United States. Its prices are in US dollars only and its booking page validates a North American phone number, but the vendor says it serves Canada, Australia and Europe.
- Do not repeat anything about the vendor or its founder from review sites, forums or petitions, and do not quote app-store ratings or reviews as facts about the product. Nothing on this page comes from them.

## [Common questions](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-gocheckin#faq)

**[Is GoCheckin free?](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-gocheckin#faq-is-gocheckin-free)**

No. Its own pages list no free plan: Go Booking starts at $20 a month for up to five team members plus a $100 setup fee, and Go Check In at $59 a month plus $100. Both are offered on a trial — 14 days on gocheckin.net, 30 on fastboy.com. Bookodile is free at one location with up to two active booking spots and 40 bookings a month, every add-on included, and stays free.

**[Can I move my customers and bookings from GoCheckin?](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-gocheckin#faq-can-i-move-my-customers-and-bookings-from-gocheckin)**

GoCheckin exports its customer list behind a one-time code and appointments from the month view. Bookodile does not yet import either. Customers are created the first time they book, so your list rebuilds as regulars return, and your team can add anyone by hand. Run the two calendars side by side until the GoCheckin one empties, then switch the link.

**[Does Bookodile take deposits or a card on file like Go Booking?](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-gocheckin#faq-does-bookodile-take-deposits-or-a-card-on-file-like-go-booking)**

No. Bookodile does not process payments, take deposits or hold a card. Payment stays between you and your customer, however you handle it today, and the payment-tracking add-on records what arrived. If a deposit is what stops your no-shows, that is a real difference: Bookodile records a no-show on the customer rather than charging one.

**[Which languages can my customers book in?](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-gocheckin#faq-which-languages-can-my-customers-book-in)**

GoCheckin's booking page is in English, with no language switch; the bilingual English–Vietnamese display it documents is in the staff point-of-sale app. Bookodile's booking page is in English, Slovak, Czech or Vietnamese, set per business and separately from the language you read your dashboard in.

**[What replaces the check-in tablet and the review texts?](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-gocheckin#faq-what-replaces-the-check-in-tablet-and-the-review-texts)**

Nothing directly. Bookodile has no kiosk and sends no texts: a walk-in is a booking your team adds from the calendar, and a review is requested by email after each visit, with a Google-review ask in the same message. If most of your customers walk in without booking and you want them checked in at the door, Go Check In does something Bookodile does not.

**[How does the price compare for a team of five?](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-gocheckin#faq-how-does-the-price-compare-for-a-team-of-five)**

On GoCheckin, Go Booking's Basic plan covers five team members for $20 a month plus a $100 setup fee, and Go Check In is a separate $59 a month plus $100 if you want the kiosk. On Bookodile the bill is per location plus per booking spot that took a booking that month, and five people are five spots only if all five work at the same time; the figure for your country is on the pricing page.

## Who GoCheckin is for

GoCheckin is built around the door, not the calendar. Its flagship, Go Check
In, is a tablet where a walk-in customer checks in by phone number or QR code;
a ticket prints, turns are counted, and the visit feeds a text survey, a
Google-review request and a text database the vendor puts at more than thirty
million members. Online booking is a second product, Go Booking, sold and
priced separately, and a point of sale with payroll is a third. The vendor,
Fastboy Marketing of Houston, is a marketing agency first — websites, search
and ads — with software as a product line, and its help centre and tutorials
are largely in Vietnamese. Everything is priced in US dollars, and its text
short codes are for the United States and Canada.

Bookodile is a booking system and nothing else. It is for a business whose
customers book ahead, where the people are priced or timed differently, where
a room or a piece of equipment limits what can be taken, and where one visit
can involve two people. Those rows are where the two products differ most —
and the check-in kiosk is where GoCheckin does something Bookodile does not
attempt.

## The pricing model, in practice

GoCheckin is three subscriptions. Go Check In is $59, $99 or $199 a month, the
tiers differing by how many emails and texts the plan includes for birthday
messages, return reminders, promotions and review requests, plus a $100 setup
fee. Go Booking is $20, $40 or $99 a month by team size — five, twenty or
unlimited — with extra team members at $10 per block of five, reminder texts
capped at 1,000 or 2,000 a month on the two lower tiers, and its own $100
setup fee. Go POS is $50, $99 or $149 a month plus $200 to set up. Texts beyond
a quota are sold in bundles. There is no free plan; there is a trial, of 14
days or 30 depending on which of the vendor's pages you read.

In the table on this page, "extra cost" means outside Go Booking's Basic plan
— a higher tier, or one of the other two products.

Bookodile charges per location plus per booking spot that actually took a
booking that month, in country bands. A spot is one appointment you can run at
the same time as another, so it follows your rooms and equipment rather than
your headcount, and anyone who takes no bookings costs nothing. Every add-on is
included, there is no setup fee, and one location with up to two active spots
and 40 bookings a month is free. The figures for your country are on
[the pricing page](/pricing) and the model is explained in
[What Bookodile costs](/docs/what-bookodile-costs).

Be honest about what you are comparing. If your customers mostly walk in and
you want them checked in at the door, Go Check In is a kiosk and Bookodile is
not; the booking product is the part of GoCheckin this page compares.

## Two services, two people

Read what GoCheckin publishes here, because it is short. The help centre's Go
Booking topic holds three articles — taking a deposit, exporting a month of
appointments, and copying an appointment to a new date. The product page says
"per-staff calendars, services with durations" and "auto-assign staff", and
the vendor's own site says customers can book with the team member they
prefer. None of it says whether a customer can put two services into one
booking, whether those services can go to two different people, whether they
run back to back, or how each person's time is blocked when they do. This page
does not guess.

In Bookodile the same thing is a combo service: one stage with one person and
a second with another, as parts of one booking. Each stage carries its own
team member, its own duration and its own room if it needs one, and each
person is blocked only for their stage. The customer books once and receives
one confirmation.

## Switching from GoCheckin

- **Customers.** GoCheckin exports its customer list behind a one-time code.
Bookodile has no import tool yet; customers are created the first time they
book, and your team can add anyone by hand.
- **Bookings.** GoCheckin exports appointments from the month view, to PDF or
CSV. Bookodile does not import bookings; run the two side by side until the
old calendar empties, then switch the link.
- **Your booking link.** The GoCheckin page sits on booking.gocheckin.net
under a store number, or on its hosted landing page. Every place that link
lives — Google profile, Facebook page, website — gets the new one.
Bookodile generates a QR code for print.
- **Google and Facebook buttons.** GoCheckin says its Book Now button sits on
  your Google profile and Facebook page. Bookodile has no such integration;
your Google profile carries the booking link as its appointment link.
- **The kiosk and the texts.** There is no equivalent. A walk-in becomes a
booking your team adds from the calendar, reviews are requested by email
after the visit, and the win-back sequence for customers who drift away
  goes by email too.
- **Deposits and the point of sale.** If you take deposits through Go Booking
or ring up sales in Go POS, you will need a separate way to do both.
Bookodile records payments; it does not take them.

## Where each one fits

Choose GoCheckin if your customers walk in and you want a kiosk at the door,
if review requests and win-back messages by text are what fill your week, if
you want deposits and a card on file at booking, or if you want a point of
sale with payroll from the same vendor — and your business, your customers and
their phone numbers are in North America.

Choose Bookodile if your customers book ahead in Slovak, Czech, Vietnamese or
English, if your people are priced or timed differently, if a room or a piece
of equipment limits what you can take, if one visit can involve two people, if
you want a waiting list that fills a cancellation by itself, or if you want one
bill with nothing sold on top.
