# Bookodile vs Booksy

> Booksy is a consumer marketplace with booking software, card payments and a front desk behind it, paid per business plus per user, with an optional commission on new customers. Bookodile is a booking system with no marketplace, no commission and a free plan that stays free.

## [About Booksy](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-booksy#about)

- Website: https://biz.booksy.com
- Founded: 2014, in Warsaw, Poland
- Built for: Beauty and wellness businesses — hair, barbers, nails, brows and lashes, massage and spa, skincare and tattoo — with a medical directory in Poland. Not classes or events.
- Markets: Sixteen countries on its own list: the United States, the United Kingdom, Ireland, France, Spain, Portugal, the Netherlands, Poland, Brazil, Mexico, Argentina, Chile, Colombia, Canada, Australia and South Africa. A German site and price list exist, but Germany is not on that list. Not Slovakia, Czechia or Vietnam, and an account books only within its own country.

## [What Booksy charges](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-booksy#pricing)

One plan in every market, priced per business per month with one user included, plus a monthly fee for each additional user, in the local currency and before tax: $29.99 plus $20 a user in the United States, £40 plus £5 in the United Kingdom, €44 plus €5 in Ireland, €34.99 plus €8 in Spain, €59 plus €10 in France, €35 plus €7 in Germany, 145 zł net plus 35 zł net in Poland, R$ 99.99 plus R$ 20 in Brazil and R 399 plus R 89 in South Africa. Poland and South Africa stop charging for users beyond the ninth; the other pages show no cap. The trial is 14 days in the United States and 7 days everywhere else, with no card, and there is no free plan. Card processing is charged per transaction at the rate on each regional page. The line to read carefully is Boost: an optional marketplace switch that charges a one-time commission on a new customer's first completed visit — 30% in the United States with a $10 minimum and a $100 maximum, 30% in the United Kingdom with a £5 minimum plus VAT, 30% in Spain with a €4 minimum and a €50 maximum plus IVA, 45% net plus VAT in Poland (35% net on request), 40% in South Africa, and 0% in Brazil; Ireland, France and Germany publish no figure. Booksy's own pages disagree in two places. The marketplace feature page says visibility can be switched off while booking keeps working, but the help centre says the permanent switch means no customer can book and the temporary one comes back on after 7 days. And while every pricing page says cancel any time, cancelling is done by emailing support, and in Poland switching Boost off takes a month's notice.

## What Bookodile charges

A base rate per location plus a rate per booking spot that actually took a booking that month, in country bands. Every feature and add-on is included at every price, there is no commission, and it is free at one location with up to two active spots and 40 bookings a month. The figures live on one page so they cannot drift: https://bookodile.com/pricing — and the model is explained at https://bookodile.com/docs/what-bookodile-costs.

## [Why businesses switch from Booksy](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-booksy#why-switch)

- **[No commission on the customers you win](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-booksy#reason-no-commission-on-the-customers-you-win)** — With Boost on, Booksy takes a one-time cut of a new customer's first completed visit: 30% in the United States (minimum $10, maximum $100), 30% in the United Kingdom (minimum £5, plus VAT), 30% in Spain (minimum €4, maximum €50, plus IVA), 45% net plus VAT in Poland and 40% in South Africa; Ireland, France and Germany publish no figure. Bookodile takes no commission, no new-client fee and no per-booking charge — the bill is the subscription and nothing else.
- **[A free plan that stays free, and spots instead of users](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-booksy#reason-a-free-plan-that-stays-free-and-spots-instead-of-users)** — Booksy has no free plan: one subscription per business, then a monthly fee for every additional user — $20 in the United States, £5 in the United Kingdom, €5 in Ireland — after a 14-day or 7-day trial. Bookodile is free at one location with up to two active booking spots and 40 bookings a month, and above that it bills the spots that took a booking, so a receptionist or an owner who serves nobody costs nothing.
- **[Customers book without an account or an app](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-booksy#reason-customers-book-without-an-account-or-an-app)** — Booksy's documented path is a Booksy account — sign-up by email plus a text verification code — and a customer without one cannot be charged a deposit or leave a review. Bookodile asks for a name plus an email or a phone number: no account, no app, no password, and a web portal for anyone who wants to see their bookings.
- **[Two people, one visit, each blocked only for their part](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-booksy#reason-two-people-one-visit-each-blocked-only-for-their-part)** — Booksy's Combo Services document more than one team member only for the Parallel type, where every service starts at the same time. Nothing published says a Sequence combo can hand its second stage to a different person, or how long each person is blocked. A Bookodile combo gives each stage its own team member, its own duration and its own room, back to back.
- **[A booking page that carries only your business](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-booksy#reason-a-booking-page-that-carries-only-your-business)** — A Booksy profile is listed in the marketplace by default, in a directory alongside other businesses. Its help centre gives two ways off: search visibility off, which comes back on after 7 days, and a permanent switch that removes the profile and stops booking. Bookodile's page is yours alone — no directory and no competitor beside you.
- **[Every location in one account](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-booksy#reason-every-location-in-one-account)** — In Booksy a second location is a second account, merged by support so one login can switch between them; the price of the second is not published. Bookodile runs any number of locations in one account, each with its own team, hours, services and booking page, with a group dashboard that totals them and one bill.

### [Pricing](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-booksy#group-pricing)

| | Bookodile | Booksy |
|---|---|---|
| [A free plan that stays free](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-booksy#free-tier) | **Yes** — Free at one location with up to two active booking spots and 40 bookings a month, every add-on included. Not a trial — a plan a small business stays on. | **No** — Subscription only — one paid plan in every market. The only free period is the trial: 14 days in the United States, 7 days everywhere else that publishes one, no card required. [source](https://support.booksy.com/hc/en-us/articles/23486975849490) |
| [No commission on bookings](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-booksy#no-commission) | **Yes** — No commission, no new-client fee, no per-booking charge. The bill is the subscription and nothing else. | **Partly** — None on bookings from your own link, QR code or the Instagram, Facebook and Google buttons, and none on marketplace bookings while Boost is off. With Boost on, a one-time fee on a new customer's first completed visit: 30% in the United States (minimum $10, maximum $100), 30% in the United Kingdom (minimum £5, plus VAT), 30% in Spain (minimum €4, maximum €50, plus IVA), 45% net in Poland, 40% in South Africa, 0% in Brazil. Ireland, France and Germany publish no figure. Tips and add-ons are excluded, and a claims process refunds a customer who was already yours. [source](https://support.booksy.com/hc/en-us/articles/16486248108946) |
| [Every feature included](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-booksy#everything-included) | **Yes** — Every add-on is free and included — reminders, reviews, vouchers, the waiting list, multi-location, forecasting. Nothing is sold separately. | **Partly** — The subscription carries forms, the waitlist, gift cards, memberships, packages, reports and Reserve with Google at no additional charge, and a monthly marketing-text allowance — 2,000 in the United States, 500 in the United Kingdom and Ireland, 100 in Spain, France, Poland and Germany. Sold separately: texts beyond that (5p in the United Kingdom, 5c in Ireland, 10 groszy net in Poland), card readers ($53.10 or $219.85 plus shipping in the United States), Fast Payouts at 1.5%, a $20 chargeback fee in the United States, and the Boost commission. [source](https://biz.booksy.com/pricing) |
| [The same features on every plan](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-booksy#no-plan-gating) | **Yes** — There are no plans and no tiers. Every account, including a free one, has every feature. | **Yes** — One plan with every feature; there is no higher tier to move to. The split is by device instead: memberships, packages, gift-card creation, shifts, inventory, cash registers, staff commissions and resources are only in the web and tablet version, not the phone app. [source](https://biz.booksy.com/pricing) |
| [No minimum term or cancellation fee](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-booksy#no-contract) | **Yes** — Monthly, no minimum term, no cancellation fee. Paying yearly is optional and costs ten months. | **Yes** — Monthly, no commitment, cancel any time. Cancelling is done by emailing support, and an App Store subscription cannot reduce its user count in place — cancel and buy a new one. In Poland, switching Boost off takes a month's notice and only the owner can ask. [source](https://support.booksy.com/hc/en-us/articles/16540030689810) |
| [Processes your customers' card payments](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-booksy#payment-processing) | **No** — Bookodile does not take your customers' money. The payment-tracking add-on records what you were paid; payment stays between you and the customer. | **Yes** — Booksy Payments: online and keyed cards, Tap to Pay, card readers, Booksy Pay, Klarna in the United States, next-business-day payouts at no charge and 30-minute Fast Payouts at 1.5%. United States 2.69% + $0.30 online or 2.49% + $0.10 with a reader; United Kingdom 1.29% + 20p + VAT; Ireland 2.6% + VAT. A United States business can instead pass a 3.5% + $0.10 platform fee to the customer, except in seven states. [source](https://support.booksy.com/hc/en-us/articles/16465247608594) |

### [Taking bookings](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-booksy#group-booking)

| | Bookodile | Booksy |
|---|---|---|
| [A hosted booking page](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-booksy#hosted-booking-page) | **Yes** — bookodile.com/book/your-business, with your logo, colour, services and hours. One page per location. | **Yes** — A public profile on booksy.com with a share link and a QR code. The QR code expires if nobody uses it for a year, or if the business name changes. [source](https://support.booksy.com/hc/en-us/articles/16536355817234) |
| [Booking on your own website](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-booksy#embed-widget) | **Yes** — One snippet embeds the whole flow in any site — WordPress, Wix, Squarespace or hand-built — inline or behind a Book-now button. A QR code is generated for print. | **Partly** — A JavaScript booking button or widget script for any site or CMS that allows custom scripts to be inserted. The article says Booksy gives no further help with implementing it. [source](https://support.booksy.com/hc/en-us/articles/23480739244434) |
| [Customers book without an account or an app](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-booksy#guest-booking) | **Yes** — A name plus an email or a phone number. No account, no app, no password. A web portal shows customers every booking they hold, if they want it. | **Partly** — A customer can book from a browser through the booking link, but the documented path is a Booksy account — sign-up by email plus a text verification code. Deposits and cancellation fees cannot be charged to a customer without an account, and a review needs a booking made from one. No article describes booking without an account. [source](https://support.booksy.com/hc/en-us/articles/16464537919250) |
| [Several services in one booking](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-booksy#multi-service-booking) | **Partly** — Combo services chain stages into one booking, and the extras you configure are offered during booking, in more than one round. Customers do not pick arbitrary pairs from the catalogue — you decide which combinations exist. | **Yes** — Customers can select several services in one booking when the business allows it, add extras during booking, and book Combo Services — a bundle of services sold as one item, priced as the sum of the parts or a custom figure. [source](https://support.booksy.com/hc/en-us/articles/16538245194002) |
| [Back-to-back services with different team members](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-booksy#multi-staff-sequential) | **Yes** — Each stage of a combo can have its own team member, its own duration and its own room, booked back to back. Each person is blocked only for their own stage, never for the whole visit. Staff move the whole visit in one step, at times that fit every person in it. | **Partly** — Combo Services come in two types. 'Sequence' runs services one after another with optional breaks between them; 'Parallel' starts every service at the same time and, in the article's words, involves more than one staff member. Only the Parallel type is documented as multi-staff. No article says a Sequence combo can put each stage with a different team member, or how long each person is blocked. [source](https://support.booksy.com/hc/en-us/articles/16537510218514) |
| [Rooms, chairs and equipment as bookable resources](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-booksy#resources) | **Yes** — Rooms, chairs and equipment with a capacity and their own hours. A service can need a resource alone, a person alone, or both, and capacity is enforced when the booking is made. | **Partly** — Resources are assigned to services 'just like you would a staff member', with their own working hours, for rooms and equipment; web and tablet only. The documented effect is that two services sharing a resource cannot be booked at the same time. A capacity above one, and booking a resource with no person, are not documented. [source](https://support.booksy.com/hc/en-us/articles/16535746638226) |
| [Classes and events with a capacity](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-booksy#group-classes) | **Yes** — Events with a capacity and a registration list for one-off things; a recurring class is a service on a resource with a capacity, so it fills up and stops. | **Partly** — No class or event product. Two adjacent features: Group Booking, created by the business only, for 2–10 people on the same service, which customers cannot make themselves and which No-Show Protection does not cover; and per-service Parallel Clients, a maximum number of customers a slot stays bookable up to. [source](https://support.booksy.com/hc/en-us/articles/16459393119634) |
| [A different price per team member](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-booksy#per-staff-pricing) | **Yes** — A service can be priced per team member, or per category such as Junior and Senior, and the customer sees which is which. | **Yes** — Service variants: a variant carries its own price and is assigned to selected team members, so the same service can cost a different amount per person. [source](https://support.booksy.com/hc/en-us/articles/16535124505362) |
| [A different duration per team member](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-booksy#per-staff-duration) | **Yes** — A service can take a different time per team member. Leave someone blank and they use the service's own duration. | **Yes** — The same variants carry a duration, so a service can take a different time per person. [source](https://support.booksy.com/hc/en-us/articles/16535124505362) |
| [Buffer time that blocks the calendar](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-booksy#buffer-time) | **Yes** — A buffer after every service blocks the person and any resource it used. Enforced on the booking page and in the booking API. | **Yes** — Padding time before or after a service, blocked in the calendar for preparation or cleaning. A separate processing time leaves a gap in the middle of a service that another customer can book. [source](https://support.booksy.com/hc/en-us/articles/21028092250258) |
| [A waiting list with automatic offers](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-booksy#waitlist) | **Yes** — A cancellation is offered automatically to whoever has waited longest for that service, with a three-hour countdown. Confirming books them straight in. | **Yes** — Customers join from the customer app. On a cancellation Booksy texts everyone waiting with a link to book, first come first served. It does not hold a spot or book anyone automatically. [source](https://support.booksy.com/hc/en-us/articles/16463469277714) |
| [Recurring bookings](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-booksy#recurring-bookings) | **Partly** — Your team can create a repeating series from the calendar — weekly, every two weeks or monthly, up to 52 visits. Customers cannot book a recurring appointment themselves. | **Yes** — The calendar feature page lists recurring appointments for repeat customers. No help-centre article describes how they are set up or whether customers can book one themselves. [source](https://biz.booksy.com/en-us/features/calendar-scheduling) |
| [Booking rules](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-booksy#booking-rules) | **Yes** — Minimum notice, maximum advance days, slot interval, auto-confirm or approval, and a cancellation window — one set of rules per business. | **Yes** — Advance booking limits and same-day cut-offs, automatic confirmation on or off, a reschedule window, booking intervals down to five minutes per service, and self-booking switched on or off per service. Mobile services always need manual confirmation. [source](https://biz.booksy.com/en-us/features/online-booking) |
| [Customers cancel or reschedule themselves](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-booksy#self-service-cancel-reschedule) | **Partly** — Customers cancel from the confirmation email, outside your cancellation window. Rescheduling is cancel and book again; there is no one-step move. | **Yes** — From the customer's Booksy account or app. The business can limit when a customer may reschedule. Booksy's business article says customers can cancel at any time; its customer article says the cancellation window is set by the business and fees may apply — the two disagree. [source](https://support.booksy.com/hc/en-us/articles/16463839045394) |
| [Deposits and no-show protection](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-booksy#deposits-no-show) | **No** — No card on file and no deposits, because Bookodile does not process payments. A no-show is recorded on the customer, not charged. | **Yes** — Deposits — part or full prepayment, minimum $5 — and cancellation fees against a card on file, optionally charged automatically at the end of each day, set per service. Needs Mobile Payments, does not cover group bookings, and cannot be charged to a customer without a Booksy account. [source](https://support.booksy.com/hc/en-us/articles/16487324704658) |
| [Extras offered while booking](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-booksy#upsells) | **Yes** — Extras are offered while booking, per service or per category, in up to several rounds, with an optional discount for adding them. | **Yes** — Add-ons offered during booking; the price and length of the appointment adjust automatically. An add-on cannot be booked on its own. [source](https://support.booksy.com/hc/en-us/articles/16538230036882) |

### [What customers see](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-booksy#group-customers)

| | Bookodile | Booksy |
|---|---|---|
| [Listed in a consumer marketplace](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-booksy#marketplace) | **No** — No marketplace. Your booking page carries only your business, and no competitor is shown beside you — which also means it sends you no new customers. | **Yes** — The centre of the product: the business profile is listed on booksy.com by default. Search visibility can be switched off for 7 days, after which it comes back on; the permanent switch removes the profile and, per the help centre, means no customer can book. The marketplace feature page says visibility can be off while booking still works — the two pages disagree. [source](https://support.booksy.com/hc/en-us/articles/16486745644306) |
| [An app for customers](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-booksy#customer-app) | **No** — No consumer app. Customers book in the browser, and a web portal lists every booking they hold with any Bookodile business. | **Yes** — Booksy for Customers on iOS and Android, free for customers, with the marketplace, booking, the waitlist and reviews inside it. [source](https://biz.booksy.com/en-us/features/customer-app) |
| [Booking page languages](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-booksy#languages) | **Yes** — English, Slovak, Czech and Vietnamese, set per business. What your customers read and what you read in the dashboard are separate settings. | **Partly** — The customer app lists English, French, German, Polish, Portuguese, Russian, Spanish and Ukrainian, and the website resolves in the same set. There is no Slovak, Czech or Vietnamese for customers; the Slovak, Czech and Vietnamese addresses on booksy.com redirect to the United States English site. [source](https://apps.apple.com/us/app/booksy-for-customers/id723961236) |
| [Your business's time zone, shown correctly](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-booksy#timezones) | **Yes** — Every time is shown in the business's own zone, including on your dashboard. A customer in another zone sees both clocks before they confirm. | **Partly** — The time zone follows the business address and is changed by contacting support. A customer account works in one country only. Nothing is published about how times are shown to a customer in another zone. [source](https://support.booksy.com/hc/en-us/articles/16539665393170) |
| [Branding](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-booksy#branding) | **Partly** — Your logo, a second logo for dark backgrounds, a logo that links back to your own website, your brand colour with a contrast check, and a banner strip. No custom CSS and no custom domain. | **Partly** — Cover photo, logo, description and portfolio photos on a booksy.com profile. No custom domain, fonts or CSS are documented. [source](https://biz.booksy.com/en-us/features/booksy-profile) |
| [Dark mode on the booking page](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-booksy#dark-mode) | **Yes** — The hosted page follows the customer's device. The embedded widget stays light on purpose, so it matches the website it sits in. | **Not published** — Neither the profile page nor the online-booking page mentions a dark theme for the customer's view, and the help centre has nothing on it. |
| [Book buttons on Google, Instagram and Facebook](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-booksy#social-booking) | **No** — No Reserve with Google or Instagram integration. Your booking link goes in your Google profile, your bio or a post like any link. | **Yes** — Reserve with Google, free in every Booksy country (not for Shared Locations, and search visibility must be on); an Instagram Book Now button as an official Meta partner; a Facebook Book Now button that needs Business Manager, a catalogue, an ad account and a pixel; a TikTok link; and bookings from Google's AI Mode. [source](https://support.booksy.com/hc/en-us/articles/16486489939602) |

### [Running the business](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-booksy#group-operations)

| | Bookodile | Booksy |
|---|---|---|
| [Calendar](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-booksy#calendar) | **Yes** — Day, week and month. Drag a booking to a new time or a different person, block out time, add a walk-in, filter by person or service. A visit with several services moves as one — dragged in the calendar, or from the booking dialog, which offers only the times that fit everyone in it. | **Yes** — Day, week, month and list views, a fit-to-page view of every team member, drag and drop to reschedule, time-off blocks, colour schemes, and shifts on web and tablet. [source](https://support.booksy.com/hc/en-us/articles/16463655123346) |
| [A native app for your team](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-booksy#staff-app) | **No** — No native app. The dashboard is a web app that installs to a phone's home screen and works there. | **Yes** — Booksy Biz on iOS and Android for the owner and the team. Team members are invited by email and manage their own calendar, customers and checkout. [source](https://support.booksy.com/hc/en-us/articles/16535739916562) |
| [Several locations in one account](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-booksy#multi-location) | **Yes** — Any number of locations in one account, each with its own team, hours, services and booking page, and a group dashboard that totals them. | **Partly** — One account per location, merged by support so one login switches between them. A Shared Location is for several independent businesses at one address, not for one business with several. The price of a second location is not published. [source](https://support.booksy.com/hc/en-us/articles/16538539391122) |

## [Where Booksy is stronger](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-booksy#strengths)

- **[It brings you customers](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-booksy#strength-it-brings-you-customers)** — Booksy is a consumer marketplace — its feature page says 44 million customers use it — with a customer app, Reserve with Google, an official Instagram Book Now button and bookings from Google's AI Mode. A business can be found without doing its own marketing, and with Boost off, marketplace bookings are free. Bookodile has no marketplace: your page carries only your business, which also means it sends you nobody.
- **[It takes the money and enforces no-shows](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-booksy#strength-it-takes-the-money-and-enforces-no-shows)** — Card on file, deposits, cancellation fees charged automatically, Tap to Pay, card readers, Klarna in the United States and next-business-day payouts at no charge. Bookodile does not process payments, hold a card or take a deposit; a no-show is recorded on the customer, not charged.
- **[A front desk in the box](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-booksy#strength-a-front-desk-in-the-box)** — Checkout with cash registers, an inventory module with orders and stock counts, staff shifts, automatic commission rates at checkout, gift cards, packages, memberships and, per its feature page, over 50 reports. Bookodile has no point of sale, stock, payroll, packages or memberships.
- **[Marketing texts and campaigns included](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-booksy#strength-marketing-texts-and-campaigns-included)** — Text and email marketing with automated welcome, rebook, win-back and birthday messages, loyalty stamp cards, promotions and a higher price at peak hours, within a monthly text allowance of 2,000 in the United States, 500 in the United Kingdom and Ireland and 100 in Spain, France, Poland and Germany. Bookodile sends no bulk campaigns and has no text messages switched on; it has an automated win-back sequence and promotions on the booking page.
- **[Native apps, 24/7 chat and a free data transfer](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-booksy#strength-native-apps-247-chat-and-a-free-data-transfer)** — Booksy Biz on iOS and Android for the team, live chat around the clock inside the app, and a free service that moves your customers and upcoming appointments in when you sign up. Bookodile's dashboard is a web app that installs to a phone's home screen, support is by email, and there is no import tool.
- **[More customer languages](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-booksy#strength-more-customer-languages)** — Eight in the customer app — English, French, German, Polish, Portuguese, Russian, Spanish and Ukrainian — against Bookodile's four. The four Bookodile has include three that Booksy does not: Slovak, Czech and Vietnamese.

## Notes for anyone selling Bookodile

These are the claims not to make against Booksy, because they are not true:

- Do not quote a single Boost percentage. It is 30% in the United States, the United Kingdom and Spain (each with its own minimum and maximum), 45% net in Poland, 40% in South Africa and 0% in Brazil, and Ireland, France and Germany publish none. Name the market or say nothing.
- Do not say Boost is switched on by default, or that Booksy charges for your existing customers. Its help centre documents switching Boost on by hand and a claims process for a customer who was already yours; nothing Booksy publishes settles either point.
- Do not say Booksy cannot book two services in sequence with two different team members. Only the Parallel combo is documented as multi-staff; the Sequence case is undocumented, not disproven.
- Do not say Booksy has no dark mode, no discount codes, no Google review requests, no forecasting and no API. None is published, which is not the same as absent.
- Do not quote the older United States model of $10 per user up to nine and $119.99 for unlimited users. The current United States page says $20 per user with no cap; a cap of nine paid users is on the Polish and South African pages only.
- Do not repeat a third-party price — a per-staff tier or a monthly Boost fee — that is not on a Booksy page. Booksy's Boost has no monthly fee.
- Do not claim Bookodile is cheaper than Booksy for a given team. Booksy's additional user is £5 in the United Kingdom and €5 in Ireland; put both bills side by side before saying anything about price.
- Do not imply Bookodile takes card payments, deposits or no-show fees. Booksy does; Bookodile does not.
- Do not describe Booksy's renewal or price-change terms. Its terms-of-service page was not found, so there is nothing published to quote.
- Do not say Germany is, or is not, a Booksy market. A German site and price list exist, and Germany is absent from Booksy's own country list.
- Do not cite app-store, Trustpilot or Capterra ratings, review counts or review quotes as facts about Booksy.

## [Common questions](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-booksy#faq)

**[Is Booksy free?](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-booksy#faq-is-booksy-free)**

No. Booksy is a subscription in every market — one plan per business, one user included, and a fee for each additional user — after a trial of 14 days in the United States and 7 days elsewhere, no card required. Bookodile is free at one location with up to two active booking spots and 40 bookings a month, with every add-on included, and it stays free.

**[Can I move my customers from Booksy to Bookodile?](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-booksy#faq-can-i-move-my-customers-from-booksy-to-bookodile)**

Booksy's help centre says to ask its support team for your customer list; in Poland a full export arrives within five business days. Bookodile does not yet import a file. Customers are created the first time they book, so the list rebuilds as regulars return, and your team can add anyone by hand in the meantime.

**[Does Bookodile take card payments and deposits like Booksy?](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-booksy#faq-does-bookodile-take-card-payments-and-deposits-like-booksy)**

No. Booksy processes cards, holds a card on file, takes deposits and charges cancellation fees. Bookodile does none of that: payment stays between you and your customer, however you already handle it, and the payment-tracking add-on records what arrived.

**[What happens to my Booksy marketplace listing?](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-booksy#faq-what-happens-to-my-booksy-marketplace-listing)**

It stays on booksy.com while your subscription runs. Booksy's help centre describes two switches: search visibility off, which comes back on after 7 days, and the permanent switch, which removes your profile and stops booking through Booksy. The subscription itself is cancelled by email to support. Bookodile does not list you anywhere; your page carries only your business, and it sends you no new customers on its own.

**[Which languages can my customers book in?](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-booksy#faq-which-languages-can-my-customers-book-in)**

Booksy's customer app is in English, French, German, Polish, Portuguese, Russian, Spanish and Ukrainian; there is no Slovak, Czech or Vietnamese. Bookodile offers English, Slovak, Czech and Vietnamese, set per business, separately from the language you read your dashboard in.

**[How does the price compare for a business with three people?](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-booksy#faq-how-does-the-price-compare-for-a-business-with-three-people)**

On Booksy, three people are one subscription plus two additional users — in the United States $29.99 plus $20 each, in the United Kingdom £40 plus £5 each, in Ireland €44 plus €5 each, before tax — and Boost's first-visit commission on top if it is on. On Bookodile, three people each taking bookings at the same time are three booking spots, which is above the free tier; if two of them share one room, that is two spots. The figure for your country is on the pricing page.

## Who Booksy is for

Booksy is a consumer marketplace first and booking software second. Its
business product, Booksy Biz, is sold to beauty and wellness businesses — its
help centre's worked examples run from hair and nails to massage and tattoo —
and in Poland it has a medical directory as well. It is not a class or event
product; nothing in its help centre describes one. Its own country list runs
to sixteen, with the United States as the reference market where each new
feature lands first. Slovakia, Czechia and Vietnam are not on the list, and an
account can only book within its own country.

Bookodile is a booking system and nothing else: no directory, no card
processing, no till. It is for a business whose people are priced or timed
differently, where a room or a piece of equipment is the real limit, where one
visit can involve two people, and where the customers it wins are its own at
no fee. Those are the rows above where the two differ most.

## The pricing model, in practice

Booksy charges one subscription per business, with one user inside it, and
then a fee for every additional user: in the United States $29.99 plus $20 a
user a month, in the United Kingdom £40 plus £5, in Ireland €44 plus €5, each
before tax. There is no free plan; the trial is 14 days in the United States
and 7 days elsewhere. Card processing is charged per transaction at the rate
on each regional pricing page.

Then there is Boost. It is off until switched on, and with it on Booksy takes
a one-time commission on the first completed visit of every new customer the
marketplace brings: 30% in the United States, with a $10 minimum and a $100
maximum; 30% in the United Kingdom with a £5 minimum, plus VAT; 30% in Spain,
with a €4 minimum and a €50 maximum, plus IVA; 45% net in Poland, plus VAT,
where switching it off takes a month's notice; 40% in South Africa; and 0% in
Brazil. Ireland, France and Germany publish no percentage. Bookings through
your own link, QR code or the Instagram, Facebook and Google buttons are not
charged, and Booksy documents a claims process for a customer it counted as
new who was already yours.

Bookodile charges per location plus per booking spot that actually took a
booking that month — a spot being one appointment you can run at the same
time as another. People who take no bookings are not counted, and there is no
commission on anything. It is free at one location with up to two active spots
and 40 bookings a month; the figures for your country are on
[the pricing page](/pricing) and the model is explained in
[What Bookodile costs](/docs/what-bookodile-costs).

Which is cheaper depends on how many users you pay Booksy for and on whether
Boost is on. Put your own numbers into both before deciding; the case for
Bookodile is in the rows above, not in the bill.

## Two services, two people

Booksy's bundle is a Combo Service, and its set-up article documents two
types. In *Sequence*, services run one after another, with optional breaks
between them. In *Parallel*, every service starts at the same time and, in
the article's words, involves more than one staff member; the Polish version
adds that each service is assigned to a different team member. The price is
the sum of the parts or a custom figure. That is the whole of what is
published about more than one person in a booking: it covers services that
happen simultaneously. Nothing says a Sequence combo can put its first stage
with one person and its second with another, and nothing describes how long
each person is blocked. Booksy's processing time is a different thing — a gap
inside one service that another customer can book while the same person is
still serving the first. This page does not guess at the rest.

In Bookodile the same visit is a combo service: stage one with one person,
stage two with another, as one booking. Each stage carries its own team
member, its own duration and its own room if it needs one, and each person is
blocked only for their stage. The customer books once and receives one
confirmation.

## Switching from Booksy

- **Customers.** Booksy exports your customer list on request to its support
team. Bookodile has no import tool yet; customers are created the first
time they book, and your team can add anyone by hand.
- **Bookings.** Outside Poland, Booksy documents no bookings export.
Bookodile does not import bookings either; run the two side by side until
the Booksy calendar empties out, then switch the link.
- **Your profile and listing.** Your Booksy profile stays on booksy.com for
as long as the subscription runs. Search visibility off lasts 7 days before
it comes back on; the permanent switch removes the profile. The
subscription is cancelled by email to Booksy support. Bookodile's page is
  bookodile.com/book/your-business and carries only you.
- **Your booking link.** Every place the Booksy link lives — Google Business
profile, Instagram bio, your website — gets the new one. Bookodile
generates a QR code for the counter.
- **Reserve with Google, Instagram and Facebook buttons.** These are Booksy
integrations; Bookodile has no equivalent. Your Google profile can still
carry the booking link as its website or appointment link.
- **Reviews.** Booksy's reviews live on its profile; the Polish export
includes them, the United States article covers the customer list only.
Bookodile starts collecting its own after each visit.
- **Payments, deposits and cancellation fees.** If you take them through
Booksy, you will need another way. Bookodile records payments; it does not
  take them.
- **Gift cards, packages and memberships.** Bookodile has gift vouchers and
discount codes, but no packages or memberships; anything outstanding is
  honoured outside the system.

## Where each one fits

Choose Booksy if you want a marketplace sending you customers and accept a
share of their first visit for it, card payments and no-show fees inside the
booking, a till with stock and commissions, marketing texts included, a native
app for the team, or a booking page in German, French, Spanish, Polish or
Portuguese.

Choose Bookodile if you want the customers you win to be yours at no fee, a
free plan for a small business, booking without an account, two people in one
visit each blocked only for their own part, every location in one account, or
a booking page in Slovak, Czech or Vietnamese — three languages Booksy does
not have, in three countries where it does not operate.
