# Bookodile vs Altegio

> Altegio is a European booking and business-management system priced by team size, with payments, stock, payroll, loyalty and a client app in the same product. Bookodile bills the booking spots that actually take bookings, includes every add-on on every account, and is free to start.

## [What Altegio charges](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-altegio#pricing)

Priced by the number of team members and the length of the licence. The pricing page detects the visitor's country and shows that country's price in its own currency, before tax; there is no country picker. The licence counts billable team members: anyone who provides services and has a work schedule, or whose role includes any editing right. View-only and system-manager access is free. Licences are prepaid for one, three, six or twelve months, with one, three and nine bonus months on the longer terms, and the smallest licence covers up to two team members. A help-centre notice records a price rise on 1 February 2025, together with the minimum prepayment falling from three months to one and the minimum licence from three team members to two. The trial is seven days with every feature and no card. The pricing page says plans differ only in term and team size, with the full feature set on every plan. The billing article adds that payment systems, SMS providers and similar third-party integrations charge for their own service. On first load the page shows prices with a 30%-off promo code for purchases made during the trial already deducted. The figures below are the prices with that switched off, as the English page displayed them for each country.

| Hungary, 5 / 10 / unlimited team members | 26 800 Ft / 53 600 Ft / 133 900 Ft a month | On a one-month licence |
| Trial | 7 days, free | Every feature, no card, and nothing charged or deleted when it ends |

## What Bookodile charges

A base rate per location plus a rate per booking spot that actually took a booking that month, in country bands. Every feature and add-on is included at every price, there is no commission, and it is free at one location with up to two active spots and 40 bookings a month. The figures live on one page so they cannot drift: https://bookodile.com/pricing — and the model is explained at https://bookodile.com/docs/what-bookodile-costs.

## [Why businesses switch from Altegio](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-altegio#why-switch)

- **[Nothing is free, and the smallest licence is two people](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-altegio#reason-nothing-is-free-and-the-smallest-licence-is-two-people)** — Altegio gives you seven days with everything in it, then a paid licence sized by team members, and the smallest licence is priced for up to two. Bookodile is free at one location with up to two active booking spots and 40 bookings a month, with every add-on included, and it is a plan you stay on rather than a trial that ends.
- **[You pay for spots that took bookings, not for people who have a schedule](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-altegio#reason-you-pay-for-spots-that-took-bookings-not-for-people-who-have-a-schedule)** — Altegio counts a team member as billable once they provide services and have a work schedule, or once their role can edit anything, so a receptionist who books and takes payments counts too, busy month or quiet. Bookodile counts booking spots that actually took a booking that month — two people taking turns at one station are one spot, a quiet month costs less, and an owner or receptionist who takes no bookings costs nothing.
- **[Two people in one visit, without building a package first](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-altegio#reason-two-people-in-one-visit-without-building-a-package-first)** — Altegio creates a multi-service booking only when one team member can do every service in it. Putting two people in one visit means building a service package first, a customer can book one package per booking with nothing added, and packages are not yet available on every account. For two people one after another, the package article says a sequential package can at the moment be provided by only one team member, it does not say how each person's time is blocked, and moving one booking in a package means moving each linked booking too. A Bookodile combo gives every stage its own team member, duration and room back to back, each person blocked only for their part, and staff move the whole visit in one step at times that fit everyone in it.
- **[A waiting list that fills the gap by itself](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-altegio#reason-a-waiting-list-that-fills-the-gap-by-itself)** — Altegio's waiting list is a reception tool: staff record a request and book it by hand when a slot frees up, and its own help centre says customers cannot join it online and nothing tells a customer when a slot opens. In Bookodile a cancellation goes straight to whoever has waited longest for that service, with a three-hour countdown to claim it, and confirming books them in without anyone at the business touching it.
- **[Reviews that also ask for a Google review](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-altegio#reason-reviews-that-also-ask-for-a-google-review)** — Altegio asks for a review once a visit is marked Arrived and shows the result in its own booking widget beside the team member; its help centre lists reviews on map services as a separately paid app from a third party. Bookodile collects the review, lets you publish it on your booking page and reply in public or privately, and asks a happy customer for a Google review in the same email — the one that shows up where new customers are actually looking.
- **[A leaderboard the team can see](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-altegio#reason-a-leaderboard-the-team-can-see)** — Altegio's per-team-member figures are reports — sales by team member, workload, performance over time — each opened only by roles given that permission, and nothing published describes a ranking or a winner. Bookodile runs a monthly competition on bookings or revenue that the whole team watches, with a winner per category if you want one, results frozen and emailed on the 1st, and a Hall of fame — and revenue amounts stay hidden from the team unless you choose to show them.

### [Pricing](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-altegio#group-pricing)

| | Bookodile | Altegio |
|---|---|---|
| [A free plan that stays free](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-altegio#free-tier) | **Yes** — Free at one location with up to two active booking spots and 40 bookings a month, every add-on included. Not a trial — a plan a small business stays on. | **No** — A seven-day trial with every feature and no card; when it ends nothing is charged and nothing is deleted until a licence is bought. The smallest licence covers up to two team members. No plan that a business stays on for nothing is published. [source](https://alteg.io/en/info/pricing/) |
| [No commission on bookings](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-altegio#no-commission) | **Yes** — No commission, no new-client fee, no per-booking charge. The bill is the subscription and nothing else. | **Yes** — The pricing page says the price is set only by team size and licence term, with zero percent commission on appointments, no per-appointment fee and no cap on appointments. [source](https://alteg.io/en/info/pricing/) |
| [Every feature included](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-altegio#everything-included) | **Yes** — Every add-on is free and included — reminders, reviews, vouchers, the waiting list, multi-location, forecasting. Nothing is sold separately. | **Partly** — The subscription has no separate modules to buy, but the billing article says payment systems, SMS providers and similar third-party integrations charge for their own service, and WhatsApp notifications from Altegio's own number are paid from a topped-up balance. A mobile app under the business's own brand is quoted on request. [source](https://alteg.io/en/support/knowledge-base/347075/) |
| [The same features on every plan](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-altegio#no-plan-gating) | **Yes** — There are no plans and no tiers. Every account, including a free one, has every feature. | **Yes** — The billing article says all Altegio functionality is available on every subscription, with no separate modules and no limit on clients or appointments, and the price depends only on team size and period. The one difference by size it records is priority support, included when a licence covers seven or more team members. [source](https://alteg.io/en/support/knowledge-base/347075/) |
| [No minimum term or cancellation fee](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-altegio#no-contract) | **Yes** — Monthly, no minimum term, no cancellation fee. Paying yearly is optional and costs ten months. | **Partly** — Licences are prepaid for one, three, six or twelve months. The licence agreement says a fee already paid is not refunded when the business ends the agreement without a breach on Altegio's side, and either party may end it with seven calendar days' written notice. No cancellation fee is published. [source](https://alteg.io/en/info/license/) |
| [Processes your customers' card payments](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-altegio#payment-processing) | **No** — Bookodile does not take your customers' money. The payment-tracking add-on records what you were paid; payment stays between you and the customer. | **Yes** — Online payment through a connected payment system: prepayment in the booking widget, a payment link or QR code sent from a visit, and online sales of memberships and gift cards. Adyen, Stripe and VivaWallet each have a setup guide; Adyen's availability depends on the country and type of business. [source](https://alteg.io/en/support/knowledge-base/4868418665757/) |

### [Taking bookings](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-altegio#group-booking)

| | Bookodile | Altegio |
|---|---|---|
| [A hosted booking page](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-altegio#hosted-booking-page) | **Yes** — bookodile.com/book/your-business, with your logo, colour, services and hours. One page per location. | **Yes** — Booking links — a general one for the whole business, or one for a service category or a single team member — each open a hosted booking form that can be shared on social media or in messengers. [source](https://alteg.io/en/support/knowledge-base/4903629490205-Online-booking-setup-and-options/) |
| [Booking on your own website](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-altegio#embed-widget) | **Yes** — One snippet embeds the whole flow in any site — WordPress, Wix, Squarespace or hand-built — inline or behind a Book-now button. A QR code is generated for print. | **Yes** — Five documented shapes: a standard booking button whose colour, animation and position can be changed, a custom button of your own, the booking form embedded in a page as a block, separate forms for each team member or service, and several widgets on one page. [source](https://alteg.io/en/support/knowledge-base/4904684248477-how-to-add-an-online-booking-to-your-website/) |
| [Customers book without an account or an app](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-altegio#guest-booking) | **Yes** — A name plus an email or a phone number. No account, no app, no password. A web portal shows customers every booking they hold, if they want it. | **Yes** — Signing in, with a text-message code, is for the widget's personal account, where a customer reschedules, cancels and sees loyalty balances. Booking asks for a confirmation code only if the business turns on text verification of the phone number, which needs a text-message provider or chatbot connected. [source](https://alteg.io/en/support/knowledge-base/10535903380893/) |
| [Several services in one booking](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-altegio#multi-service-booking) | **Partly** — Combo services chain stages into one booking, and the extras you configure are offered during booking, in more than one round. Customers do not pick arbitrary pairs from the catalogue — you decide which combinations exist. | **Yes** — A customer can choose several services in one online booking, but the help centre says the booking is created only if one and the same team member can perform all of them; services assigned to different team members need a service package instead. [source](https://alteg.io/en/support/knowledge-base/4903618230813-booking-steps-settings/) |
| [Back-to-back services with different team members](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-altegio#multi-staff-sequential) | **Yes** — Each stage of a combo can have its own team member, its own duration and its own room, booked back to back. Each person is blocked only for their own stage, never for the whole visit. Staff move the whole visit in one step, at times that fit every person in it. | **Partly** — Service packages, called 4HANDS+, hold 2 to 10 services delivered simultaneously by several team members, one after another by one, or one after another by several, and a customer can book one in the widget — one package per booking, with nothing added. The settings section describes a sequence with different team members, but the calendar section says a sequential package can at the moment be provided by only one team member, and neither says whether each person is blocked only for their own stage. The article says packages are not yet available on every account. [source](https://alteg.io/en/support/knowledge-base/24403904613149/) |
| [Rooms, chairs and equipment as bookable resources](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-altegio#resources) | **Yes** — Rooms, chairs and equipment with a capacity and their own hours. A service can need a resource alone, a person alone, or both, and capacity is enforced when the booking is made. | **Partly** — Rooms, tables and equipment are resources attached to services, and a free instance of each is reserved automatically on every booking, so a service cannot be booked when none is left. Customers never see or book a resource directly, and a booking with a resource but no team member is not described. [source](https://alteg.io/en/support/knowledge-base/4869516836637/) |
| [Classes and events with a capacity](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-altegio#group-classes) | **Yes** — Events with a capacity and a registration list for one-off things; a recurring class is a service on a resource with a capacity, so it fills up and stops. | **Yes** — A service is set as an Appointment or a Group event, and a Group event carries a group capacity. A customer can pay for a group event online or book it with a membership, and prepayment for a group event is always the full price. [source](https://alteg.io/en/support/knowledge-base/4838148763421-Configuring-and-editing-services) |
| [A different price per team member](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-altegio#per-staff-pricing) | **Yes** — A service can be priced per team member, or per category such as Junior and Senior, and the customer sees which is which. | **Yes** — A service carries a base price plus an individual price per team member, set from the service's settings or from the team member's Services tab, and shown in the calendar and the booking widget. [source](https://alteg.io/en/support/knowledge-base/20897306968093-setting-service-prices-for-employees/) |
| [A different duration per team member](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-altegio#per-staff-duration) | **Yes** — A service can take a different time per team member. Leave someone blank and they use the service's own duration. | **Yes** — The service's duration is the default when a team member is assigned to it, and a different duration can be set for each team member. [source](https://alteg.io/en/support/knowledge-base/4838159121821/) |
| [Buffer time that blocks the calendar](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-altegio#buffer-time) | **Yes** — A buffer after every service blocks the person and any resource it used. Enforced on the booking page and in the booking API. | **Yes** — A technical break after an appointment, from 0 to 1 hour in 5-minute steps, set for every service at once or per service and capped at 1 hour across one appointment; where a booking holds several services, a setting chooses the longest break or the sum. Customers do not see it, but the times offered online allow for it. The article says technical breaks are not yet available on every account. [source](https://alteg.io/en/support/knowledge-base/171382/) |
| [A waiting list with automatic offers](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-altegio#waitlist) | **Yes** — A cancellation is offered automatically to whoever has waited longest for that service, with a three-hour countdown. Confirming books them straight in. | **Partly** — A waiting list for staff in the Appointment Calendar: a request records the customer, the services, preferred team members and acceptable times, and staff book it by hand when a slot frees up. The article lists what this first version does not do: customers cannot join through online booking, and nothing notifies a customer automatically when a slot opens. [source](https://alteg.io/en/support/knowledge-base/344140/) |
| [Recurring bookings](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-altegio#recurring-bookings) | **Partly** — Your team can create a repeating series from the calendar — weekly, every two weeks or monthly, up to 52 visits. Customers cannot book a recurring appointment themselves. | **Yes** — A Repeat appointment tab creates a repeating series from a named template, with a frequency, a start date and time, and either a maximum number of repeats or an end date, with or without the customer. The article describes staff creating it. [source](https://alteg.io/en/support/knowledge-base/4857526927645/) |
| [Booking rules](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-altegio#booking-rules) | **Yes** — Minimum notice, maximum advance days, slot interval, auto-confirm or approval, and a cancellation window — one set of rules per business. | **Yes** — Fixed, Optimal or Dynamic slots; a booking interval from 5 minutes to 7 hours in 5-minute steps; minimum notice from 30 minutes to 24 hours; days closed to online booking; and different rules by weekday — for the whole location or for one team member. [source](https://alteg.io/en/support/knowledge-base/16898106582429-configuring-available-time-slots-for-online-booking-in-the-new-interface/) |
| [Customers cancel or reschedule themselves](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-altegio#self-service-cancel-reschedule) | **Partly** — Customers cancel from the confirmation email, outside your cancellation window. Rescheduling is cancel and book again; there is no one-step move. | **Yes** — Customers reschedule or cancel online up to a cutoff the business sets in 15-minute steps, at most 48 hours before the visit. When a prepaid booking is cancelled, the refund is made by hand. [source](https://alteg.io/en/support/knowledge-base/4903499358237-setting-online-booking/) |
| [Deposits and no-show protection](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-altegio#deposits-no-show) | **No** — No card on file and no deposits, because Bookodile does not process payments. A no-show is recorded on the customer, not charged. | **Yes** — Payment policies: a deposit paid at booking with any connected payment system, or, with Adyen only, a card linked at booking and charged only if the rules are broken. After a free cancellation window, a late cancellation or a no-show keeps the deposit or charges the fee to the card; staff can waive it where the business allows that, and a no-show left undecided at midnight is charged automatically. [source](https://alteg.io/en/support/knowledge-base/360423/) |
| [Extras offered while booking](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-altegio#upsells) | **Yes** — Extras are offered while booking, per service or per category, in up to several rounds, with an optional discount for adding them. | **Partly** — No add-on step is documented. A free promo block can advertise an offer on the service and team-member selection screens of the booking form, and service packages sell several services together at a package price. [source](https://alteg.io/en/support/knowledge-base/14563473505181-promotional-section-within-online-booking-widget/) |

### [What customers see](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-altegio#group-customers)

| | Bookodile | Altegio |
|---|---|---|
| [Listed in a consumer marketplace](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-altegio#marketplace) | **No** — No marketplace. Your booking page carries only your business, and no competitor is shown beside you — which also means it sends you no new customers. | **No** — Altegio states the absence as a position: its help centre says customers book through your own website, social media, maps or a personal link, and you do not compete inside someone else's catalogue. Its free customer app shows a customer only the businesses they have booked with. [source](https://alteg.io/en/support/knowledge-base/291505/) |
| [An app for customers](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-altegio#customer-app) | **No** — No consumer app. Customers book in the browser, and a web portal lists every booking they hold with any Bookodile business. | **Yes** — Altegio.me is a free app where customers see their bookings at businesses they have booked with, cancel, reschedule or repeat them, keep memberships and gift cards, and receive push notifications. An app under the business's own brand is offered separately. [source](https://alteg.io/en/support/knowledge-base/17953742201245/) |
| [Booking page languages](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-altegio#languages) | **Yes** — English, Slovak, Czech and Vietnamese, set per business. What your customers read and what you read in the dashboard are separate settings. | **Yes** — The help centre lists 23 languages for the booking widget, the mobile widget and the social-media booking apps, among them Slovak, Czech, Hungarian, Romanian, Croatian, Serbian, Bulgarian and Turkish. The widget's default applies to new customers, and a signed-in customer keeps their own choice. Vietnamese is not on the list. [source](https://alteg.io/en/support/knowledge-base/4903770496925-does-the-system-support-online-booking-in-several-languages/) |
| [Your business's time zone, shown correctly](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-altegio#timezones) | **Yes** — Every time is shown in the business's own zone, including on your dashboard. A customer in another zone sees both clocks before they confirm. | **Yes** — Time zone is one of a location's general system settings, beside country, industry, time format and language. [source](https://alteg.io/en/support/knowledge-base/252172/) |
| [Branding](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-altegio#branding) | **Partly** — Your logo, a second logo for dark backgrounds, a logo that links back to your own website, your brand colour with a contrast check, and a banner strip. No custom CSS and no custom domain. | **Partly** — A light or dark theme, any colour for buttons and icons from a palette or a HEX value, defaulting to #060F07, with a contrast check that refuses to save a shade too faint to read, and a logo and a 16:9 image on the widget's first screen. The personal domain is a short address on altegio.me or rsrv.ws, not a domain of the business's own. No custom CSS is documented. [source](https://alteg.io/en/support/knowledge-base/4897209017757-customizing-the-new-online-booking-widget/) |
| [Dark mode on the booking page](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-altegio#dark-mode) | **Yes** — The hosted page follows the customer's device. The embedded widget stays light on purpose, so it matches the website it sits in. | **Yes** — The widget's design settings offer a light and a dark theme, chosen by the business for each booking link. [source](https://alteg.io/en/support/knowledge-base/4897209017757-customizing-the-new-online-booking-widget/) |
| [Book buttons on Google, Instagram and Facebook](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-altegio#social-booking) | **No** — No Reserve with Google or Instagram integration. Your booking link goes in your Google profile, your bio or a post like any link. | **Yes** — The booking widget connects to Google Maps, Instagram and Facebook as well as a website; the help centre's example is a customer who finds the business on Google Maps and books without going to its website or calling. |---|---|---|
| [Calendar](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-altegio#calendar) | **Yes** — Day, week and month. Drag a booking to a new time or a different person, block out time, add a walk-in, filter by person or service. A visit with several services moves as one — dragged in the calendar, or from the booking dialog, which offers only the times that fit everyone in it. | **Yes** — A Day view of the whole team, one position or the resources, and a Week view of one team member or resource, with zoom and a filter by visit status; online bookings are shown in their own colour, and a booking can be dragged to another team member, time or day. A month view is not described. [source](https://alteg.io/en/support/knowledge-base/4856849625117/) |
| [A native app for your team](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-altegio#staff-app) | **No** — No native app. The dashboard is a web app that installs to a phone's home screen and works there. | **Yes** — An Altegio Business Management app for the team, with the calendar in day, list and week modes, creating, editing and cancelling bookings, taking and splitting payments, statistics and push notifications about changes; a team member can be limited to their own bookings. [source](https://alteg.io/en/support/knowledge-base/4904663657501-Employee-mobile-app) |
| [Several locations in one account](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-altegio#multi-location) | **Yes** — Any number of locations in one account, each with its own team, hours, services and booking page, and a group dashboard that totals them. | **Yes** — A chain interface over several locations: team members assigned to more than one location, services and products created once and distributed, one customer record across the chain, memberships and loyalty programmes that can be valid in every location, a chain booking widget where the customer picks the location first, and chain analytics by location. [source](https://alteg.io/en/support/knowledge-base/310825/) |

## [Where Altegio is stronger](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-altegio#strengths)

- **[It takes your customers' money](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-altegio#strength-it-takes-your-customers-money)** — Prepayment inside the booking form through Adyen, Stripe, VivaWallet and regional providers, payment links and QR codes, and payment policies that take a deposit or, with Adyen, keep a card on the booking and charge a late-cancellation or no-show fee to it. Bookodile does not process payments and cannot take a deposit; the payment-tracking add-on records what you were paid after the fact.
- **[A full back office in the same product](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-altegio#strength-a-full-back-office-in-the-same-product)** — Stock across warehouses with suppliers, transfers and consumables written off per service, products sold alongside services, and salaries calculated in the same system. Bookodile has none of this — a walk-in is a booking, and money is tracked rather than handled.
- **[Text, WhatsApp and push, plus Google, Instagram and Facebook](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-altegio#strength-text-whatsapp-and-push-plus-google-instagram-and-facebook)** — Reminders by text and WhatsApp alongside email and push to the client app, and booking from Google Maps, an Instagram profile and a Facebook page, with Reserve with Google completing the booking inside Google. Bookodile reminds by email only, has text messages built but not switched on, and has no social booking integrations.
- **[Apps for the team and for customers, and a short booking address](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-altegio#strength-apps-for-the-team-and-for-customers-and-your-own-domain)** — A team app with the calendar, payments and statistics, the free Altegio.me app where customers keep their bookings, memberships and gift cards, an app under your own brand on request, and a short personal address on altegio.me for a booking link. Bookodile's dashboard is a web app that installs to a phone's home screen, there is no consumer app, and the booking page lives on bookodile.com.
- **[Loyalty, memberships and packages](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-altegio#strength-loyalty-memberships-and-packages)** — Cashback and discount programmes, referrals, gift cards and memberships sold online, and service packages at a package price. Bookodile issues gift vouchers and discount codes but sells neither online, and has no packages or memberships at all.
- **[More booking-page languages, an import and an API](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-altegio#strength-more-booking-page-languages-an-import-and-an-api)** — Twenty-three languages on the booking widget including Slovak and Czech, customers imported from a spreadsheet, and a documented public API. Bookodile has four languages, exports to CSV but cannot import, and has no public API.

## Notes for anyone selling Bookodile

These are the claims not to make against Altegio, because they are not true:

- Say only what Altegio's own waiting-list article says: staff book requests by hand, customers cannot join online, and nothing notifies a customer when a slot opens — and that the article calls this its first version. Do not say Altegio has no extras offered during booking; nothing published covers an add-on step either way. It does have technical breaks and a one-way Google Calendar sync, so do not claim either is missing.
- Do not say Altegio cannot put two team members in one visit. Service packages do, for 2 to 10 services, and a customer can book one online. What its help centre leaves unclear is whether a sequential package can span two people today and how each person's time is blocked.
- Do not say Altegio cannot charge for a no-show. Its payment policies take a deposit, and with Adyen they charge late-cancellation and no-show fees to a card linked at booking.
- Quote an Altegio price only as this page records it — country, team size, licence term and the date it was seen — and never converted into another currency. Altegio prices each country in its own currency, and its pricing page opens with a promo discount already deducted, so a figure in circulation may be the discounted one.
- Do not claim Bookodile is cheaper than Altegio. The two count different things, and the comparison only exists once you know a business's headcount and how many of those people take bookings or edit anything. Sell the capability, not the bill.
- Do not say Altegio lists your business in a marketplace or shows competitors beside you. It publishes the opposite as a deliberate position.
- Do not imply Bookodile takes payments or deposits, sells memberships or packages, sends text or WhatsApp messages, has a native app, an import tool or a public API. Altegio has all of these and Bookodile does not. Neither puts a booking page on a domain of the business's own: Altegio's personal domain is an address on altegio.me or rsrv.ws.
- Do not repeat anything about Altegio's corporate history, ownership or origins beyond what its own About page states, and do not characterise it.

## [Common questions](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-altegio#faq)

**[Is there a free Altegio plan?](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-altegio#faq-is-there-a-free-altegio-plan)**

No. Altegio publishes a seven-day trial with every feature in it, after which a licence is paid by team size, the smallest covering up to two team members. Bookodile is free at one location with up to two active booking spots and 40 bookings a month, and every add-on is included on that free account just as it is on a paid one.

**[Can I move my customers from Altegio to Bookodile?](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-altegio#faq-can-i-move-my-customers-from-altegio-to-bookodile)**

Altegio exports your client list to an Excel spreadsheet, so the list is yours to take. Bookodile has no import tool yet, so that file is a record rather than a migration: customers are created automatically the first time they book, the list rebuilds itself as regulars return, and your team can add anyone by hand in the meantime.

**[Does Bookodile take payments or deposits like Altegio?](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-altegio#faq-does-bookodile-take-payments-or-deposits-like-altegio)**

No. Altegio takes prepayment inside the booking form, and its payment policies can take a deposit or, with Adyen, keep a card on the booking and charge a late-cancellation or no-show fee. Bookodile does not process payments, take deposits or keep a card on file. Payment stays between you and your customer however you already handle it, the payment-tracking add-on records what arrived, and a no-show is recorded against the customer rather than charged.

**[Which languages can my customers book in?](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-altegio#faq-which-languages-can-my-customers-book-in)**

Altegio's widget lists 23, including Slovak and Czech; Vietnamese is not among them. Bookodile offers English, Slovak, Czech and Vietnamese, chosen per business — and the language your customers read is a separate setting from the one your team reads the dashboard in, so a Slovak-speaking owner can run a booking page in Czech.

**[Can both handle two services with two different team members in one visit?](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-altegio#faq-can-both-handle-two-services-with-two-different-team-members-in-one-visit)**

Both have an answer, and they are not the same shape. In Altegio a customer can pick several services only if one team member can do all of them; two people means a service package of two to ten services, which a customer can book online, one package per booking. The package article describes packages done at the same time by several people, and a sequence by several people in its settings, but its calendar section says a sequential package can at the moment be provided by only one team member, and it does not say how each person's time is blocked. In Bookodile it is an ordinary combo service: each stage carries its own team member, duration and room, the stages run back to back, each person is blocked only for their part, and the customer books the whole thing in one go.

**[What happens to my Altegio client app, booking address and Google booking button?](https://bookodile.com/compare/bookodile-vs-altegio#faq-what-happens-to-my-altegio-client-app-custom-domain-and-google-booking-button)**

All three are Altegio's. Bookodile has no consumer app, no short booking address of its own and no Reserve with Google, so your booking page becomes bookodile.com/book/your-business and every place the old link lives — your Google Business Profile's appointment link, your bio, your own site — gets the new one. Bookodile generates a QR code for the counter and for print.

## Who Altegio is for

Altegio is a booking system that has grown into a whole back office: the
calendar and online booking sit beside stock, payments, payroll, loyalty
programmes, memberships and analytics, with a client app and booking from
Google, Instagram and Facebook around the outside. Its own description is
software for chains and franchises in service industries, and the chain tools
show it — team members, services, products and loyalty are set up once for
the chain and shared across its locations, with one customer record for all
of them.

It describes itself as a European holding company with offices in seven
countries, its booking widget comes in 23 languages including Slovak and
Czech, and its pricing page shows each visitor the price for their own
country, in that country's currency.

Bookodile is narrower on purpose. It is for a business where the people are
not interchangeable, where one visit can involve two of them, and where the
booking is the job — payment, stock and pay stay with whatever you already
use. Those are the rows above where the two products differ most, and the
rows where Altegio does more are just as real.

## The pricing model, in practice

Altegio prices by team size and licence term. The calculator on its pricing
page runs from up to two team members to no limit, and shows the price for
the country it detects, before tax. The licence counts *billable* team
members — anyone who provides services and has a work schedule, and anyone
whose role includes an editing right — and leaves out view-only and
system-manager access. So a receptionist who books and takes payments counts,
and someone who only reads reports does not. Licences are prepaid for one,
three, six or twelve months, and the longer terms are rewarded with bonus
months rather than a lower headline rate: one extra month on three, three on
six and nine on twelve. A help-centre notice dates a price rise, a smaller
minimum licence and a shorter minimum prepayment to 1 February 2025. The
trial is seven days with every feature and no card. The figures for Slovakia,
Czechia and Hungary are in the table above.

Two costs sit outside the licence. Text messages go through an SMS aggregator
the business signs up with and pays — Altegio does not send them itself — and
WhatsApp notifications from Altegio's own number are paid from a balance
topped up for each location. A mobile app under the business's own brand is
quoted on request.

Bookodile charges per location plus per booking spot that actually took a
booking that month. People who take no bookings are not counted, and several
people taking turns at one station count as one spot. The figures for your
country are on [the pricing page](/pricing), and the model is explained in
[What Bookodile costs](/docs/what-bookodile-costs).

Which works out cheaper depends entirely on headcount and on how many of
those people take bookings or edit anything. The case for Bookodile is in the
rows above, not in the bill.

## Two services, two people

Altegio answers this with two separate features, and the difference matters.
A customer can pick several services in one online booking, but the help
centre says the booking is created only if one and the same team member can
perform all of them. Services assigned to different people need a service
package, which Altegio calls 4HANDS+: between two and ten services, delivered
at the same time by several team members, one after another by one, or one
after another by several. A customer can book a package in the booking
widget — one package per booking, with nothing else added — and saving one
creates linked bookings for the team members involved. The first worked
example in the documentation is two services performed at the same time by
two people.

What the article does not settle is the sequential case with two people. Its
settings section describes a package delivered one after another by different
team members; its calendar section says that, at the moment, a sequential
package can be provided by only one team member. Neither says whether each
person is blocked only for their own stage or for the whole visit, and moving
one booking in a package means moving each linked booking as well. The
article also says packages are not yet available on every account. This page
does not guess the rest.

In Bookodile the same thing is an ordinary combo service. One stage with one
person, the next with another, as stages of a single booking: each carries
its own team member, its own duration and its own room if it needs one, each
person is blocked only for their stage, and the customer books it in one go
and gets one confirmation. Afterwards staff can move or cancel the whole
visit as a unit, and the times they are offered are only those that fit every
person in it.

## Switching from Altegio

- **Customers.** Altegio exports the client list to Excel. Bookodile has
no import tool yet, so keep the file as a record; customers are created the
first time they book, and your team can add anyone by hand.
- **Bookings.** Neither an Altegio export nor a Bookodile import moves future
bookings. Run the two side by side until the Altegio calendar empties out,
  then switch the link.
- **Your booking link.** An altegio.me address belongs to Altegio. Bookodile
gives you bookodile.com/book/your-business, so every place the old link
lives gets the new one, and Bookodile generates a QR code for the counter.
- **The client app, Reserve with Google and the social buttons.** All
Altegio channels with no Bookodile equivalent. Your Google Business
Profile can still carry the Bookodile link as its appointment link, and
your Instagram bio can carry it as a link — what goes away is booking
  completed inside Google itself.
- **Payments, deposits, no-show fees, memberships, stock and payroll.** If
you run any of these through Altegio you need another way to do them.
Bookodile records payments and issues vouchers; it does not take money,
charge for a no-show, sell memberships, count stock or pay staff.
- **Text and WhatsApp reminders.** Bookodile reminds by email. Text messages
are built but not switched on.

## Where each one fits

Choose Altegio if you want card payments, deposits and no-show fees inside
the booking, stock and payroll in the same product as the calendar, text or
WhatsApp reminders, memberships and loyalty programmes, apps for your team
and your customers, booking completed inside Google, or a booking page in one
of the languages Bookodile does not have.

Choose Bookodile if one visit can involve two people, each blocked only for
their own part and moved as a unit afterwards, if you want a waiting list
that offers a cancelled slot by itself and a leaderboard your team can see —
or if you want every feature on a free account, and your customers read
Vietnamese.
